Anyone have verifiable skills in building a fairly simple iphone/android app?

Been talking to a friend of mine, who combined with three others, have 17,000 youtube subscribers...yep...17000.
Looking to build a simple iphone/android app working off of a database where the user can search through about 3500 entries and get a return telling them 3-4 things about that entry.
No photos etc. just data.
Anyone?
