I loved the first Cosmos, with Carl Sagan.

I really enjoyed the first few episodes of this incarnation as well, but two things are detracting from it:

1. It's really basic, mostly on a 6th grade level
2. It's unbearably repetitive.

I wonder if I suffer from a bit of nostalgia, and the original was just as basic, or if they have dumbed this down for the Obama generation?
