Antifa Explained

I appreciate that Antifa's tactics are to use violence or the threat of violence to silence others (funny given the fact that this is the tactic employed by all dictatorships). What isn't clear is Antifa's strategy - what do they want to build?

In truth I believe that most of them are turned on by violence and their rhetoric of fighting fascism is nothing more than a cheap excuse to fight with anyone they don't like. The fact that these people are afraid of someone expressing opinions different from their own simply points to how pathetic, small and immature they are.

.
Dear Decus
It seems the goal is to keep up the protests and threats until all signs of said oppression is gone.

Similar to China US Russia and now Korea threatening greater and greater military and nuclear threats until there is peace and no more need for war.

Carrying the bigger stick has nothing to do with the actual work it takes to eliminate the need for carrying the stick to begin with.

When it comes to offering either a carrot as a reward or a stick as punishment, i prefer the job of offering carrots while other people only understand the stick. Antifa is more that approach , like good cop bad cop.

If we don't listen to the good cops, we end up with Antifa playing bad cop!

"If we don't listen to the good cops, we end up with Antifa playing bad cop!"

Again Antifa haven't defined what they are trying to build through their actions. The simple truth is that they can't articulate their goals and objectives because they don't have any. They enjoy violence and hope to instill fear. It makes most of these people feel important. Antifa is just as happy to fight over whether a beer is less filling or tastes great as it is about any other equally important issue.

Antifa playing bad cop will only get them hurt. They really should grow-up and stop playing games.

The video in the OP does explain Antifa action.

Did the resistance steal your maga hat again?
I don't wear hats. I deplore hats...except for party hats on double dees.

History tells us that we the people have to nip fascism in the bud

when fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and waving a cross.
If it came to America (it won’t) -it would be wrapped in your fascist flag - but you are all frightened mask wearing pussies - so no worries.
Do you know the full history of Churchill? Do you know how he came into power?

Judging by what we've seen so far, I'm certain that YOU dont.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Dear antifa
Don't forget free speech for the Klan and the White Nationalist.

Ray Hill is one liberal activist who has defended free speech consistently,
even has his name on the historic lawsuit against the City of Houston
that successfully defended the right of the KKK to march publicly in the streets of Houston.

He teaches the Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinksy, and recently held a 3 hour workshop
at a local university on how to be more effective in activism.

He is one of the few who lives up to the philosophy you cite above.
Defending free speech for everyone means defending it for us.
And this includes the Klan and people we disagree with.

The video in the OP does explain Antifa action.

I watched the video and although quite a bit was said regarding the use of violence historically and the different political ideologies that have engaged in violence, I did not see any mention of what Antifa is seeking to build.

What is the system of government that Antifa hopes to build?

.

Antifa is merely a collection of weirdos who want to be tough guys, but youre too chicken shit to get into one on one fights. You guys just throw rocks and hit people with sticks, then immediately run away as you hide behind your coward masks. Everyone hates you, except for those of us on the right because, you make the left look really bad. All those videos of Antifa attacking people at Trump rallies infuriated the nation, which is why Trump won, so thank you for that. YOU won him the election. I really hope we see you guys again in 3 years.
We may be weirdoes but the youngsters are very active in their attempt to force change. What are you doing to end fascism?
Voting and actively engaging in debate. That is how you fight fascism - by using fascist tactics like suppressing speech and endorsing violence. Those are the bread and butter of ALL fascists and exactly how ANTIFA operates.

The number one goal of all fascist regimes is to control public discourse and that is almost always achieved through violence. Clearly ANTIFA is confused on what it means to be a fascist.

Then you aren't ANTIFA, who actively and violently opposes free speech.
There is a price to pay for hate speech.
There isn't a price to pay when speech is free, but as I said, ANTIFA doesn't believe in free speech. Thank you for proving my point.
When government got rid of the duel, they also got rid of free speech. Antifa is bringing the duel back so if you want to talk shit in public, you risk getting a bloody face.

No antifa
The court system replaced the duel.
And because the court system is monopolized by lawyers and judges paying each other off politically,
that's where we lost free speech and the right to petition.

The best way I've seen to restore free speech, due process and right to petition to redress grievances is
* mediation to reach consensus so all parties interests are included and protected equally
* conflict resolution to either agree on policies and solutions, or agree to separate jurisdiction and have separately paid programs
* proportional representation by party, where whole groups can govern themselves under the policies of their choice, according to their beliefs,
and allow other groups to do the same, so they don't impose their conflicting beliefs on each other or through govt on anyone else who disagrees

NONE of these methods involve physical punching or violence.
The worst that would happen is verbal bullying and venting back and forth
which is part of FREE SPEECH.

You don't need to get physically violent to exercise free speech.
Usually it's when free speech fails that it turns physical.

With inclusive forums for mediation and conflict resolution, where nobody is judged or excluded
for expressing their beliefs verbally, this allows conflicts to be resolved peacefully without resorting to physical bullying to coerce anyone.
Emily, I don't need the courts to protect me. That's the difference between a real conservative and a fake conservative who is dependent on the taxpayer to solve all their problems. Street justice is poetic and much more affective than government.
...

No, 'street justice' is anarchy and unequivocally leads to despotic rule of the few that can wield the most raw power.

We all know why he has refused to even acknowledge this question - ANTIFA does not want to build anything. All they are interested in is destruction. It was even touched upon in the video that was posted.
