There was always a chance he could have survived it and succumbed to something else.
The late, great Duke, John Wayne, had a serious cancer but escaped death from it. He ended up dying with 41 pounds of fecal matter in his colon, according to the autopsy and Dr. Michael Pinkus. What actually killed him was that he needed a colon cleansing.
A lot of changes need to be made if we end up with Government care. Old people can be expensive. Old people in their last month or so trying to stay alive can be very very expensive. Hospice care and others are not cheap. I am not torpedoing the treatments, but the costs are astronomical and the government pays for it. It is not uncommon for an elderly person with sever health issues costing several hundred thousand dollars, a million dollars or more in his/her final months.
