Answer: This beloved Jeopardy host passed away today

Alex added class to a Game Show genre that is usually filled with giddy hosts.
His job was not easy and he had to prepare for each show to understand tough pronunciations and rapidly read the questions

Not sad, but a feeling of celebration of a life lived well.
The man had a fantastic life. One that few will ever have.
Cheers to to Alex... you had the best game show ever, and one you obviously enjoyed as much as we did.

Who is......

Mr. Trebek was a Canadian who accessed the American health care system when he came down with a case of PC.

Its interesting that foreign citizens will come here since our system is supposedly piss poor according to libs. He's not the only one, BTW. British crooner Mick Jagger went to New York for complicated heart surgery instead of having it done for free at the NHS.

Sad to read about his passing... He made Jeopardy one of the most watched games shows and no one can ever replace him...

That dry Canadian Charm with that face like he was that professor you knew the knew all about he answers...

May he Rest In Peace and my condolences to his family and those that loved him...

Trebek and Jagger can afford to avoid going through the public health service that all their fellow citizens are stuck with, while others are bragging about how wonderful their "free" health care is.

If you had a serious medical problem, and you could afford to fly to the US to have it fixed, you can bet your life you would take the US.
I'll take socialized health care hypocrisy for $500, Alex.

Alex faced his cancer with class

No self pity, he acknowledged he led a long life and had no regrets and hosted Jeopardy till the end.

Went out swinging

Actually, both of those fellows, Trebek and Jagger, were in their late 70's when they had their health crisis and probably would have just been told "you lived a good life and here's a pain pill" in their own countries

Trebek died from a fatal cancer
His healthcare didn’t matter

Our healthcare system is amazing if you are incredibly rich.
