Another Sarah Palin thread to make you cry:

Yesterday she blamed the spill on environmentalists.

so prove her WRONG.
we'll wait.:eusa_whistle:

Anyone else notice the deafening "silence" from the environmentalist?:eusa_whistle:

If this had been a Republican administration, they would be RAGING in the streets by now.

Is this the money quote?

"[L]et's not forget," she wrote, "that while Interior Department bureaucrats continue to hold up actual offshore drilling from taking place, Russia is moving full steam ahead on Arctic drilling, and China, Russia, and Venezuela are buying leases off the coast of Cuba."

Where is she wrong?

Forget things like energy and foreign policy. Why can't she just learn to keep her foot out of her mouth?

Because she's an idiot?

This woman I swear is dumber than my ex-wife who once said, not joking, that she thought our nation's capital, Washington, was in the state of Washington.

And yet, Palin is still Einstein compared to her fans...

Well, what does that say about YOU?
you married the ex-wife.
so just who is the "dumb" one.

oooopsi:lol:

There's over 3,500 oil and gas rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. If that many hasn't gotten us energy independance by now, the addition of more probably won't either.

And as for St Sarah, if she had an ounce of common sense she might realize that now's probably not a good time to be shooting her big mouth off about the virtues of offshore oil drilling.

That's if she had an ounce of common sense. . .

oh really, when is a good time by your standards.?
I guess we should JUST ALL shut up our mouths.

Of course just two months ago, in a widely circulated missive, Palin attacked President Obama's plan to open up large swaths of the U.S. coastline to potential drilling for being too little, too late. "[L]et's not forget," she wrote, "that while Interior Department bureaucrats continue to hold up actual offshore drilling from taking place, Russia is moving full steam ahead on Arctic drilling, and China, Russia, and Venezuela are buying leases off the coast of Cuba."

Neither the Arctic nor the coast of Cuba empty into the Gulf.

And if you think the US is going to allow Cuba to team up with China, Russia, and Venezuela and let their ship roam around near our border, I have to ask if you've ever heard of "gunboat diplomacy" and The Monroe Doctrine?

Great link! Palin was on fire with that opinion regarding Obama's complete lack of leadership abilities!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!

If the President really was fully focused on this issue from day one, why did it take nine whole days before the administration asked the Department of Defense for help in deploying equipment needed for the extreme depth spill site?

Why was the expert group assembled by Energy Commissioner Steven Chu only set up three weeks after the start of this disaster?

Why was Governor Jindal forced more than a month after the start of the disaster to go on national television to beg for materials needed to tackle the oil spill and for federal approval to build offshore sand barriers that are imperative to protect his state’s coastline?

Why was no mention of the spill made by our President for days on end while Americans waited to hear if he grasped the import of his leadership on this energy issue?

The very politician who inspired country songs about drilling for oil is now boasting that her "drill here, drill now" plan for U.S. energy policy would have mitigated or forestalled the oil disaster in the Gulf...if only you redefine what she meant when she said that.

Last night, former half-term Alaska governor Sarah Palin believed she'd found a way to both absolve her oil-happy politics and blame environmentalists for the spill at the same time, and took to Twitter to rub it in.

"Extreme Greenies:see now why we push"drill, baby, drill"of known reserves&promising finds in safe onshore places like ANWR? Now do you get it?"

Oh, we get it all right!

WOW -another great Palin response.

Right on the mark - and so very-very true...

____

This is a message to extreme “environmentalists” who hypocritically protest domestic energy production offshore and onshore. There is nothing “clean and green” about your efforts. Look, here’s the deal: when you lock up our land, you outsource jobs and opportunity away from America and into foreign countries that are making us beholden to them. Some of these countries don’t like America. Some of these countries don’t care for planet earth like we do – as evidenced by our stricter environmental standards.

With your nonsensical efforts to lock up safer drilling areas, all you’re doing is outsourcing energy development, which makes us more controlled by foreign countries, less safe, and less prosperous on a dirtier planet. Your hypocrisy is showing. You’re not preventing environmental hazards; you’re outsourcing them and making drilling more dangerous.

Extreme deep water drilling is not the preferred choice to meet our country’s energy needs, but your protests and lawsuits and lies about onshore and shallow water drilling have locked up safer areas. It’s catching up with you. The tragic, unprecedented deep water Gulf oil spill proves it.

We need permission to drill in safer areas, including the uninhabited arctic land of ANWR. It takes just a tiny footprint – equivalent to the size of LA’s airport – to tap America’s rich and plentiful oil and gas up north. ANWR’s drilling footprint is like a postage stamp on a football field.
