Another Nail In The Warmist's Coffin

Left wing zealots are desperate to discredit Dr Evans... Not one of them has produced a single credible fact and they resort to adhomenim attacks, disparagement, and straw men arguments.

Good evidence to say they have lost the war..

What right wingers on this thread (and others) simply don't want to admit is that their DENIAL is mostly based on their political leanings......

....and, btw, none of the cute little charts posted by the "deniers" take into consideration the huge population growth that the planet has experienced, the erosion of trillion of acres of top soil, and the devastation of the rain forests.

Freeman Dyson is simply wrong. And the warming world will prove that.

Those who have extensively studied atmospheric physics, and whose predictions have been verified are the people that one should listen to. The leading such person at present is Dr. James Hansen. And he has been on the recieving end of much hate because of it.

It is interesting to see the deniers flap-yap constantly changing. First there was no warming. But it became so obvious to everyone that there was, that they then changed that to 'well, it all natural'. Then there is no sea rise, now it's 'well, the sea has been rising for so many thousands of years'.

We have a bit more than a year before there is a major political election in this nation. We have one political party actively denying that AGW is real. Period. And we have a very strong El Nino, already we have had major flooding in Texas and the Carolina's. As well as a record drought for the West Coast, which has resulted in wild fires that have destroyed thousands of homes, and several towns were saved only through heroic efforts on the part of the firefighters. We had DC-10's laying down retardant on neighborhoods. There is a very good chance that the California drought will be ended with major storms. In other words, we have had major infrastructure destroyed by weather from coast to coast, and it looks like there is much more to come. But one major political party simply states this is not happening. It will be discussed extensively next year. You have made it political, and political it will be.

Thanks for the weather report pal.. You really should have chosen broadcast journalism.. The world mourns the waste of talent on geology.

"warmists" ?

:lmao:

Am I wrong in my perception that you nip around the edges without ever actually posting a direct contradiction to posts?

Left wits avoid facts... they like being told what to do, where to live, what to eat, etc.... Thy are low information types who do what they are told because it requires no thinking or a cognitive thought process..

And when it comes to Climate alarmism they are even stupider than that.. they swallow obvious lies, hook, line and sinker... They dont feel good unless they are getting hand outs which were stolen from real people who work. they are giddy about giving up your freedoms because their to lazy to keep their own..

you have a lot of nerve saying people who aren't science deniers are the ones who are fact averse.

you guys are wacko... and repeating garbage over and over doesn't make it any less garbage.

It's actually based off of a lack of evidence. Funny how you don't understand that the only folks screaming anything are the ones stating doom and gloom and to date they, have not provided any evidence. Now friend, that suggests that your insane claim that the earth is warming due to humans, without any evidence, dictates that your claim is political at best. Religion is what it is.[/QUOTE]

The dolt means predictions such as this:

"DO YOU REMEMBER "Algore: "We Have Ten Years Left Before Earth Cooks""
DO YOU REMEMBER

So predicted in 2006.

"...before that we had Ted Danson say in 1988, We had ten years to save the oceans; we were all going to pay the consequences, which would result in our death.

1998 came and went and not a single death from the resulted.

here are a few more predictions made over the last 35 years.

1) At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calderwarned, “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind.”

2) The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years. If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age. — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

3) A high-priority government report warns of climate change that will lead to floods and starvation. ‘Leading climatologists’ speak of a ‘detrimental global climatic change,’ threatening ‘the stability of most nations.’ The scenario is eerily familiar although the document – never made public before – dates from 1974. But here’s the difference: it was written to respond to the threat of global cooling, not warming. And yes, it even mentions a ‘consensus’ among scientists. — Maurizio Morabito

has anyone learned anything yet about these doomsday predictors.

in a Washington post article dated Jan 2006 we were told that no one would make money off the movie "inconvenient truth". "This isn't about box office," David says. "None of us are going to make a dime." What is at stake, she says, "is, you know, the planet." - Laurie David"
Ibid.

The evidence is CLEARLY there.....what you fail to acknowledge is that you REFUSE to recognize it; but that's fine, we need ignorant people as the gauge for needed improvement in our educational system.

Yes, TRUE.....we have some alarmist that are off on dates.....Just like your ilk has those "brilliant" dimwits who predict the Rapture every 5 years or so.

well it isn't clear at all since you can't ever produce it and resign to making mere comments about what isn't actually there.

Hey big fella, post up some of that evidence and enlighten us all.

I believe it was the Myan's who predicted the end of the world in 2013. How good was that one?

1. You alarmists are off your meds, not off on the dates.

2. I have no ilk predicting 'the Rapture every 5 years or so.'

3. If there are religious folks doing what you have failed to document, the difference between that and the warmists, is that the former are not setting public policy.

David Mamet framed it correctly:
  1. The Left says of the Right, “You fools, it is demonstrable that dinosaurs lived one hundred million years ago, I can prove it to you, how can you say the earth was created in 4000BCE?” But this supposed intransigence on the part of the Religious Right is far less detrimental to the health of the body politic than the Left’s love affair with Marxism, Socialism, Racialism, the Command Economy, all of which have been proven via one hundred years of evidence shows only shortages, despotism and murder.
a. Environmentalism is a permutation of Marxism.
. “Delingpole does an excellent job of cutting through he jargon and presenting the essentials. But where the book really shines is exposing the politics behind this manufactured crisis.” From a review of “Watermelons: The Green Movement's True Colors

Environmentalism....the 'Watermelon Movement:' green on the outside, red on the inside.

What is always interesting (in a sociological sense) is the all-out clinging by right wingers to ANY ONE that claims some scientific knowledge and ALSO agrees with their dogma.

Never mind that the percentile of deniers versus affirmers are overwhelmingly on the side of the latter.

David Mamet framed it correctly:

Ahhhh, Mamet.....the same Mamet that was "converted" to right wing politics by Glenn Beck???

Give me a break......

So, based on this vapid and absurd post, we conclude that you have no way to respond to Mamet's accurate and correct perception.

You're a Liberal, huh?

Amusing.

The evidence for WHAT? That we've had a tiny 0.5DegC blip in temperature in your lifetime? WE ALL agree to that. It happened. The scientific debate is whether this is unusual (it is not) and what fraction of that warming MIGHT be due to man's emissions, and how hot it MIGHT get in the next 50 years.

Want to tackle those REAL issues? Or are you stuck on what the questions actually are?

Since we ALL (well, maybe not all given the imbecility of some) AGREE that regardless of the "level" we ARE poisoning our planet's atmosphere, then the real argument is at what level is the poisoning lethal and irreversible?
