Article tries to blame the janitor but the sign was up for over a week so the principal must have seen it and thought it was ok.

Misspelled sign may have cost high school principal her job - Yahoo News

.

A principal has been reassigned after a misspelled sign was displayed for more than a week outside a New Jersey public high school.

The message on the sign above the entryway to Paterson’s Public School Number 20 included three mistakes: December was spelled "Dicember," report as "reepor" and a "1" was placed backwards.

School officials told NJ.com that the lettering "was placed by a custodian and the sign was near an entrance not normally used by staff." It was later corrected.

After the gaffe was picked up by several local news outlets, Antoinette Young, the school's principal, was reassigned as a vice principal at a different school.

The school district did not disclose the reason for her demotion, but according to NorthJersey.com, Young was already under review for unrelated performance issues

A school principal is not a union member. Now....who`s the idiot?
At that school, the principal and doubtless the teachers and students.
Damn, I was right:

The school was the 311th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2008 cover story on the state'sTop Public High Schools. The school was ranked 309th in the magazine's September 2006 issue, which surveyed 316 schools across the state.[4] Schooldigger.com ranked the school 370th out of 376 public high schools statewide in its 2009-10 rankings which were based on the combined percentage of students classified as proficient or above proficient on the language arts literacy and mathematics components of the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA).[5]

Demographics and achievement[edit]
As of the 2008-09 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,731 students and 295.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for astudent–teacher ratio of 5.9:1.[1]

EHS is 55% Hispanic of various Latin American nationalities, 43% Black, 2% White.

The educational system has more idiots than any

The union protects the in incompetents.

A school principal is nothing more than a union teacher who got finally fed up with the ideas of the union (and sucked up to the managment ) but desperately hanging on to its principles.

Once upon always union.

A school principal is not a dues paying union member and therefore the union will not and can not defend this person. Find yourself a third grader who may be able to explain this to you.
