Kind of goes along with possession of crack getting your a harsher sentence, than if you had possession of cocaine.

Now comparing crack and cocaine is different, different drugs....crack is more addictive and dangerous, which is saying alot considering coke is very addictive and dangerous. But sure if you posses x amount of coke you should get y...same with crack, heroin, lsd, and even dope and others... Liberals dont want to standadize that stuff. first degree murder=death, second deegre murder=life, third degree murder=pick an amount of years...ect.....that way noone gets away with crap and you cant complain about harsher sentances....Of course each state would have their own, but it shouldnt be one guy gets death for murder one and another get gets 5 years or crap like that.

President Barack Obama is backing a controversial campaign by progressives to regulate schools’ disciplinary actions so that members of major racial and ethnic groups are penalized at equal rates, regardless of individuals’ behavior.

His July 26 executive order established a government panel to promote “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases.

“It is too bad that the president has chosen to set up a new bureaucracy with a focus on one particular racial group, to the exclusion of all others,” said Roger Clegg, the president of the Center for Equal Opportunity.

“A disproportionate share of crimes are committed by African Americans, and they are disproportionately likely to misbehave in school… [because] more than 7 out of 10 African Americans (72.5 percent) are born out of wedlock… versus fewer than 3 out of 10 whites,” he said in a statement to The Daily Caller. Although ” you won’t see it mentioned in the Executive Order… there is an obvious connection between these [marriage] numbers and how each group is doing educationally, economically, criminally,” he said.

First, find another link other than the dailycaller, second it is in response to schools no matter poor or wealthy giving harsher punishments to black kids. The panel is to figure out how they can solve this problem. The panel was just formed, what you linked is just speculation on what might happen.

That is the point, the punishments are not standardized. Black children are receiving harsher punishments. I am fine with it being standardized, along with teachers not singling out black kids.

Teachers are not singling out black students, they are singling out students who do the infractions. Wouldn't it be fruitless to single out an innocent black student and let white problem student go on being a problem?

I wonder what is next? minorities don't have to complete the required lessons to exceed to the next grade?? Obviously if you don't do your homework and complete the required lesson plan you will be "punished" - So I'm assuming now, since you cant punish minority kids without punishing white kids that minorities just get a free diploma now without learning a fucking thing as long as the white kids behave and turn in their assignments on time....
