I abandoned launchers because of their limited use but I found this nice lockscreen replacement: Next Lockscreen. That displays notifications of apps (you also can exclude apps from that feature) and messages from Facebook and Whatsapp. It also supports a range of Music players and offers shortcuts to any apps and some functions. It is also possible to switch between three categories of this shortcut menu, so you have three of them which you all can edit. It is a free Microsoft tool and doesn´t offer any in-app purchases what means it is a full-featured app. Look out: "Help us improve" is enabled by default, but my firewall doesn´t allow the app to access the Internet, anyway.

The only launcher I recommend is the Smart Launcher which is basically an app drawer with categories you can freely edit, delete and create. But it also has a nice optional bubble widget with shortcuts you want.
