So, you are against democracy? That's that thing where people vote.

In presidential elections, yes. In selecting judges, yes.

I’m cool with other types of races. Presidential races just turns my fellow citizens into idiots and I don’t like it. I’d give up a little democracy to live around sane people.

You're assuming that if you give up democracy you will still have a democracy.
 
Again you don’t understand the mathematics of Gerrymandering

You can slice the city into small parts and combine those parts with larger areas of the opposing city

You can put all of your opponents into one district, leaving the others for yourself
And you can do what Florida does – separate minority voters out into white majority districts, ensuring no candidate of color (Democratic candidates) are elected in those districts.
 
I don’t really need democracy. I don’t mind it.
Then you should move to Russia. They actually have a democracy but you don't have to worry about the fight for president. Putin's opponents don't really create divisiveness for long before something happens to them so there isn't the fighting that we have here.
