America’s 6th President Explained Islam Perfectly in ONE Powerful Sentence

By the way, not trying to derail the thread, but an interesting factoid.
JQA, was the first known president to be photographed, although he was not in office at the time.

That is an awesome photo. It brings history to life.
I don't believe JQA would be considered a founding father, BTW.
It's a great photo. JQA wasn't a founding father, he was the son of a founding father. He spent most of his youth abroad with his father. He was among the greatest Secretaries of State, had a tough 4 years as President and then served several terms as a U.S. Representative. He actually had a stroke and died on the House floor after casting a vote.

Because of the significance of Lincoln, and the amount of Brady photographs, I think a lot of people grew up sort of believing that Lincoln was the first president to be photographed.

Look into the eyes of JQA knowing that's not a painting but a real photograph, and realizing you're seeing the eyes of a man that witnessed the revolution.

Try reading a biography of JQA. He wasn't standing in judgement of Islam. JQA was a devout Unitarian who believed so strongly in freedom of religion that he refused to take the oath office by swearing on a bible - he used a book of laws instead. While we're at it, many of the enslaved that came here were Muslim. They were forced into Christianity by their masters when they got here. By your logic, that means Christianity can't be a religion of peace either.

Yes, actually it is.....if you force someone to be a christian you are violating Christian teachings, not practicing them....while slavery in Islam is a core practice......

Slavery is all over the place in the Christian bible. Nice try.

And Christians ended it...nice try.....

Barack Obama has often claimed that Islam was admired by America’s Founders, and made “great contributions” to the nation’s founding.

President John Quincy Adams would beg to differ.

He understood what so many people are afraid to admit today: that Islam is not a “religion of peace.” Those who commit evil in the name of Islam are just following what the Koran teaches.

African slaves brought to America were purchased at Muslim slave markets, where over Islam’s centuries of history an estimated 180 million were enslaved.

And after that i think, there is no reason to say that we enslaved all of them and our ancestors were guilty in making these people slaves! Well, dear liberal friends, what is your argument now?

You should read a book about the Atlantic slave trade before pretending to know anything about it.

That's what is so amazing about the photo. It creates a real link to the revolution.

Stating the facts about a religion is not just judging it.
