Americans, your next vacation (holiday), go to .....

.....the UK and Europe. Get off your fat backsides and go and see what you're missing and to debunk the clichés that you were taught.

Obvious lie.
In the U.K. and across Europe you have to pay a portion of your medical expenses just like with American Health Insurance. It is not "free"
To boot income tax for most people is between 40% to 45%.
So if you earn $150k in UK you will pay about $67,500 in taxes.
In the U.S., same income about $36,000
A difference of $31,500 or $2,625 a month more

Get off your fat arse and go to the UK and Europe. We pay on average, £500 tax per calendar month (PCM) towards health, Americans pay over $1,000 PCM and still get a bill for many thousands. Is you wording deductibles? You lot are spoon fed cliches, crap, and lies, the more Americans getting a passport, the more videos like this are appearing online.

what have you got (tourist wise) that we haven't cave dude?

~S~
The whole of public space in Europe and UK is a gun free zone, no need to panic about being shot. Food that is not full of chemicals or dangerous. Healthcare. Mainly American free. History. Prime Ministers and Presidents that are not geriatric paedophiles. Freedom on the freedom index above the USA. Beneficial cultures with architecture, food, and traditions.

What do you have, McDonald's, school shootings, fatties driving about?

Just have to worry about being stabbed. Chemical free? LOL, just watch out for the mad cow disease, eh? No pedophiles? I guess you chose to overlook Randy Andy and his escapades on Epstein Isle. Let us not forget the Irish PM that wants to redefine family. Try again.

You are so full of shit.....I get the same healthcare benefit that the congress critters get....$685.00 a month.

The only thing not covered (my choice) is dental because I (unlike you people) take good care of my teeth.

There is a very small RX co-pay, usually the change in my pocket will take care of it.....Everything else is covered 100% between my insurance and medicare.

When the wife got the covid and she was in the hospital for 10 days the bill came to a bit over 200K....We did not pay a penny.

It's like everything else in life, you can take a job with good insurance that might pay less on the front end but it more than makes up for it on the back end of life.

What do you get for your tax ? You also pay for private health. More than makes up the difference for a worse service that bankrupts people.

Knife deaths per capita or 100k people, in the US it's 0.6 and in the UK 0.08. The UK is in joint last position with 4 other countries.

When it comes to guns and knives, stop listening to the clichés and propaganda that you guys are spoonfed.

Just tonight, the girlfriends mother went to hospital by ambulance, then rushed up to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride. She had suffered a heart attack. They couldn't get up through an artery/vain to put a stint in, so they fitted a balloon instead. She'll be back down home today, or at worst, tomorrow. How much is the medical bill? £0.00.

The UK spend more per person on dental hygiene than Americans. In general, teeth outside of America are a natural colour, hench the dental cliché that you're spoonfed and regurgitate. Teeth in the US are generally covered in white veneers to give a false bright white look. The reason being? Americans generally suffer from vanity.

I read an article about this year's ogo, might have been on the BBC's website, and I believe the article said that it was likely you wouldn't get the bank loan if your teeth weren't false white.

That's what you pay, dummy. When you take into account what employers pay, about 75%, the average health insurance per person per month is over $1,000 per month. Then, you have nose bleeding high deductibles, or some stupid terminology like that.

So the girlfriends mother, picked up by ambulance, taken to East Kilbride to the heart specialist hospital by ambulance, had a balloon fitted in her hearth/artery, then back to her local hospital via ambulance for at least 3 days won't get a bill because it's £0.00.

On average per person in the UK, health cost is £500 per calendar month. She doesn't pay anywhere near that being in her 80's.

So the treatment above, how much would that cost you on your alleged $685 plan in The Land of the Free?

Nothing, maybe a small co-pay if a new RX is involved afterwards. :dunno:

I have wanted to go to Europe for decades, but being flat broke never got a chance to...so took cheap trips to Mexico instead.

How much in taxes would you pay for healthcare if your income was $17,000 or less in the UK?

I do think Europe has a better healthcare system than here in the US.

Approx on average, £500 tax per head per calender month funds the NHS.

In America, private medical insurance by person and 75% by companies/employers, approx $1,000 per head per calender month funds America's health system.

The are prescription costs here are £9.65 per item, unless you're exempt (pensioner, low income, child etc..).

You guys have deductibles? Do you pay for child birth? We don't have that.

If it's a critical illness, you are treated asap. If it's minor, there are varying waiting lists for the degree of illness.
