American education and the planned destruction of democracy.

Fifty years ago when we sat in comparative government classes we learned that socialism is poison to democracy. In 1957 Sputnik changed the educational landscape and that event along with the Great Society/War on Poverty began the process of supplanting education with indoctrination to bring America into line with the failures of European intellectualism.

Colleges and universities, particularly the state variety, are financed through tax breaks and after Sputnik American education began lowering standards to get as many people into college as possible. Because educators benefit from socialism with unions, health benefits, tenured pensions and other public largess, they began to brainwash students to accept socialism as a viable alternative to individual liberty and personal control of their destinies.

Modern education is in a treacherous behavioral sink and millions of Americans were appalled when a group of young school kids ambushed US Sen. Diane Feinstein, Calif. It is chillingly apparent that like the vanquished Soviet Union, we are now living in the age of the “little stooge”.

After the usual institutional proselytizing, probably since kindergarten, the children verbally accosted Feinstein over the fairy tale socialist physics of human-induced climate change. The diminutive Manchurian candidates relentlessly and disrespectfully attacked the 85-year-old Feinstein like miniature Brown shirts.

These are dangerous times for the United States because the sickness of socialism has penetrated deeply into the fabric of American education. Even in the face of a failed state in Venezuela the inculcated, cult-like adulation of socialist ideology has been so engrained into innocent young minds that an alternate reality of shifting antidemocratic sentiments looms on the horizon.

The great American experiment may be coming to an end as leadership imports the Trojan horse of illegal immigration while education stupefies the free masses into selling their freedom for something free. Left wing politics has so invaded and infected American education that intelligence is dropping and life spans are shortening.

The brilliant British historian Arnold Toynbee once said that “civilizations die by suicide, not by murder”. Why waste time waiting for an enemy to overthrow the country you hate when you can just become an educator engaged in the political, ideological and spiritual corrosion of the youth? It’s a nefarious, furtive and more effective means to the same end which is the destruction of democracy and the rise of centralized authoritarianism called socialism.

The educational mass production of militant socialism is underway and it could work.
You honestly can't see that during the time you were in school, this country was flat out hysterically terrified of communism and that you were as heavily indoctrinated to believe that democracy is the only right choice? You would not be so afraid of democratic socialism if you had not been raised to believe that socialism and communism both are poisonous.

They ARE poisonous.
Socialist policies like Medicare and Social Security are not destructive. At least not imo. The rising tide lifts all boats.

The problem with your "democratic socialism" is it's merely a stepping stone to full blown Socialism
What is full blown Socialism, Sassy? What does it look like?

A government-made bathtub does not have a tide. It has a faucet that someone else decides to turn on and off. Guess who supplies the water?

I spent years listening to far left professors extolling the virtues of every 'ism' on the left side of the political spectrum. They were insistent, but not convincing. History contradicted them at every turn. Then I went out and walked the earth and saw for myself the corrupting and enervating effect of communism (or some approximation thereof) for myself.

It's hard to "indoctrinate" against reality.

It's better than leaving us on the clam flats at low tide with no water at all. Capitalism only makes the business owners well off. Unchecked, it is as bad as the corrupt oligarchy in Russia. There needs to be a sensible sharing of concepts.

Pure communism has never materialized and the closer it has gotten, the worse it has looked for the common people. It may sound good on paper but it ignores human nature and no communist regime anywhere has been established without lakes of blood and massive loss of individual freedoms and corruption of human rights.
Pure capitalism taken to its logical ends would be no better, with the common people no more than slaves to those who offer them work for the absolute least they can manage to pay. Profit is no better a master.

I still have all my comparative government books from that period. They are quite factual. Anything written on the subject after 1970 requires confirmation.
So the books you had told about Eisenhower's mistress??

No one cared about Eisenhower's mistress, anymore than they cared about Kennedy's jaunts.
I still have my books from the 1970's and I don't notice much change in geology, algebra and English..and civics....

There is no reason to politicize those subjects. Yet.

As for civics, it's not taught anywhere to my knowledge.

Those with the wits and the will in due time and a bit of luck will get rich selling clam chowder.

Of course it is.

Someone who gets paid is not a slave.

Fifty years ago, he also learned that n1ggers aren't really human and they liked to drink out of their own fountain.
Yes I do remember a time in the 1960's attending school when there was a tuition charge to attend public schools to keep certain folks out...

Never heard of that. Reference?
1966 OKC
I thought you were being sarcastic.
We moved after busing started to an all white school..That was like 1971.

Why do Republicans complain about education when they say college is bad for America? And they call countries in Africa sh!t hole countries.
So I’m guessing Republicans are saying they want America to be more like sh!t hole countries in Africa? Where they can’t afford education?
Well, how about this, let the rest of America enjoy education and Republicans can live in sh!t hole counties. That’s called compromise.

Technically, no, and neither are the communists. It makes no difference to the argument.

Democrats don’t want that. But Republicans do. I mean look how many Republicans live off welfare and Social Security and food stamps and every possible socialistic program the government provides.
If you took away all the socialistic programs from Republicans they would be living in areas that would look like sh!t hole countries from Africa.
A lot of Appalachia looks like that already and they vote strictly Republican.
