America now #2....

Actually your avatar says it all... you're one of those sad people who will let politics trump logic. Sucks for you.

too stupid there are 100's of developing countries, none with 30 years of 8-10% growth!!
China doesn't have 30 years of 8-10% growth. They were under 8 in 2012 & 2013, and had years under 5% in the 1990s.

Imagine that... EdwardBaiamonte telling another lie....

Since initiating market reforms in 1978, China has shifted from a centrally planned to a market based economy and experienced rapid economic and social development. GDP growth averaging about 10 percent a year has lifted more than 500 million people out of poverty. All Millennium Development Goals have been reached or are within reach.

see why we say a liberal will be slow, so very very slow?

Nice try but that isn't what you said. You said 30+ years of 8-10% growth, which wasn't true they have had years under 5% over the past three decades.

When busted yet again spinning bullshit you suddenly provide a link to prove something totally different.

see why we say a liberal will be slow, so very very slow?
I know, you define slow as "someone who caught me lying again"

Do you see why we stare in wonder at this strange compulsive liar named EdwardBaiamonte, and assume it has affected all his personal relationships?

dear, they went from rice to Ipods because they went to capitalism
Never claimed otherwise, but the forum is used to you addressing whatever pops in your head.

The point was the transition of such a massive country from picking rice to manufacturing is the reason for the growth. It will not be sustainable.

so what did the idiot claim then??

Who do I know what you claim?

You're all over the place, can't follow a conversation, and are difficult to follow because every other thing you say is a blatant lie.

dear, as long as you agree that China grew at 10% a year after it switched to capitalism and thus eliminated 40% of world poverty you have learned your lesson.

No, capitalism wasn't the point, man you're like talking to a five year old.

The point was the most populous country in the world making such a drastic change in their economic system is the reason for hyper growth and it won't be sustainable. It also isn't the fault of any one political entity in the US, the shit took several decades.

Interesting way to deflect from being caught in yet another lie... curious is there a day in the last six weeks where you have made posts that didn't consist of a lie? I'd love to hear a date, would be a miracle.

too 100% stupid of course!! The change, most importantly, was from socialism to capitalism.
See why we say slow

So what? They have about 4 times as many people as we do. Their per capita income is about a quarter what ours is. On that scale we're number 9, were number 9.......

We borrow money from China, we buy cheap, ill-constructed toys and utensils from China...we do nothing but send them money for interest payments and cheap goods. No wonder the Chinese economy is now bigger than ours.

Hang on to your hats, America.

And throw away that big, fat styrofoam finger while you’re about it.

There’s no easy way to say this, so I’ll just say it: We’re no longer No. 1. Today, we’re No. 2. Yes, it’s official. The Chinese economy just overtook the United States economy to become the largest in the world. For the first time since Ulysses S. Grant was president, America is not the leading economic power on the planet.

It just happened — and almost nobody noticed.

It s official America is now No. 2 - MarketWatch

That's what happens when we have a President and his administration who embraces China's former political ideology of big government control and big regulations called anti-Capitalism.

What on earth are you talking about? Are you under the impression China no longer has a big government or big regulations? China's political ideology is communism.

Yeah that ever so much over regulations on pollution - not.
They went from Communism to Socialism in 1949.
They moved away from socialism to capitalism in their economy in the 70's

So because you don't believe they regulate pollution they don't have a big government or are heavily regulated? This country that doesn't let people look at facebook or twitter? That has tens of thousands of government workers whos only job is censor the internet?

That is hilarious. The country that tells people how many children they can have isn't very regulated, since Peach doesn't know anything about their pollution regulations.

The communist party in charge right now, the one that rules by decree via central committees where no popular vote is heard to elect, would disagree with you.

You are confused on the difference between systems of government and free enterprise market reforms.

China's political ideology is communism. They are politically communist and economically a mix of capitalist and socialist. They still have tens of thousans of state owned enterprises called 国企 that can be anything from oil producers to hotels.
