Netflix just released the first season of the series "Altered Carbon". They did one of those the full season released at once thing so I've done the entire season in the past two days.
The premise is that they have discovered a way to download the 'soul' into what they call a 'stack'. An electronic backup of who you are. The only way to die is to 'blow your stack'.
I was skeptical, but I have to say, it deals with some serious issues of human cruelty and human love.
I won't go into the details to spoil it, but damn, I think its worth your time.
