Alt-Right Defined

Horseshit. I've seen nothing but conservatives hurling trollish insult after insult in "zone 2." The mods here don't enforce it. If they do, they cherry pick.

Fag.

Zone 2 violation?
You started it and now the tread will rapidly go to shit.

That's actually his usual level of posting fare on another board, which is why his sniveling about 'the rules' is just pathetic simpering here..

Since Inception no one at USMB ever used the phrase Alt Right. On 8/25/16 Hillary uploaded the data into the Collective Hivemind, now they all believe its real

I knew Lucy was an alt-right scumbag from our very first interaction. She's an anti-American POS.
This is a Zone2 area. Keep your insults and trolling out of here, TIA...

Those aren't insults, just stating facts.
How does that post contribute to the topic?
It is trolling and hurling insults. Why? Could it be that you lack anything intelligent to add to the conversation?

You were voted hall monitor of the year, weren't you?

Exactly. I've never seen it used here. Even Hillary never heard of it, until her propaganda hacks wrote it into a 'talking point' for her.

The alt-right is just a new name for fascism. If you disagree, please tell me how the alt-right and fascism differ.
You have asserted this without evidence. Thus it can be discarded without evidence. In addition you must first prove that fascism is negative if you wish to employ this mode of attack.

You mean you haven't used it here yet? Surprising.

Nah. The report feature is for pussies.
Now....where can I go with this one? :)

Well, he's probably lying, and is still banging on the 'Report' button as I type this. lol lol

Yes. FDR ran more of a fascist administration, via the New Deal', than a left wing one.

Can the Republican Party survive the alt-right? The GOP has been infiltrated and weakened by religious nuts, Tea Party nuts, and now alt-right nuts. Can it survive?

What does the alt-right need to complete their agenda? A strongman, charismatic leader and armbands with a snappy graphic logo.

It's Facism's retarded cousin wrapped up in an, unfortunately, American brand. If we know what's good for us, we should smother this movement in its cradle
Your opinion is appreciated but if you would expand on your generalities, that would be appreciated.
Your post is just a troll post otherwise.
Well then, as they said in my day, let's go to the video tape!

A troll post, e? What are the prime tenets of the alt-right movement?

They reject equality. Now why do you suppose that? By claiming this group or that group isn't equal to MY group, it makes it far easier to deny others their rights. It makes it far easier to marginalized them. Perhaps that sounds like the Facist approach to minorities, in fact it is a Facist approach to minorities.

The alt-right movement wants to preserve and protect the white privledge, white children, white culture (whatever that might mean). Perhaps, that smacks of division along racial lines, in fact it is division along racial lines.

The alt-right movement rejects compromise. In a land where our very form of government is based on compromised, our constitution is the product of compromise, the alt-right movement aggressively rejects the very notion of working across the aisle with their political opposites. Perhaps one party rule sounds a bit like one of the basic tenets of fascism, in fact it is one of the basic tenets of Facism.

If it walks like a,duck and talks like a duck...

To hear Republicans talk about the way the Democrats have been infiltrated by radical leftists beginning in 1972 and continuing through the Ted Kennedy insurgency in 1980 and culminating with the nomination of,Barack Obama in 2008...

Perhaps, they should remember history even as they quote it.

They're basically tech savvy white nationalists that repel women, so they all get together to whine and cry and masturbate with each others tears.

I think my definition is better.
Baseless speculation designed to attack without being specific. These attacks are designed to discredit the messenger and ignore the message.

I can assure you that the only thing you'll ever hear from me when discussing the alt-right are attacks. I have nothing but contempt for these disgusting cretins.

Well, since the demoRATS have all the gays, ghettos, illegals, they survived.

Wikipedia provides the best definition of the alt-right that I've seen:

The alt-right is a segment of far-right ideologies presented as an alternative to mainstream conservatism in the United States.[1]The alt-right has been described as a movement unified by support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump,[2][3][4] as well as opposition to multiculturalism and immigration.[5][6]

The alt-right has no official ideology, but various sources have described it as a loosely defined conservative movement associated with white nationalism,[6][7][8] white supremacism,[2][6][9][10] antisemitism,[2][6][11][8] right-wing populism,[12][13] nativism,[14] and theneoreactionary movement.[1][15][16]

The alt-right has been said to be a largely online movement with Internet memes widely used to advance or express its beliefs, often on websites such as 4chan.[2][9][11][17][18]

So you link to a source where anybody can write and edit...

Sorry, but you need to find a credible source, since you could have easily inserted your bullshit into the one you posted....

That's not really how wikipedia works. I realize this is a right wing talking point, because you guys HATE wikipedia, but you can't just go in there and edit whatever you want. They're very strict and everything must come with accurate citations.

If you don't like wiki, click through to the sources. Educate yourself.
I've seen how the Libs cherrypick sources...

At times it's laughable...

What's next??? Links from Moron.org???

While I disagree with him and find that the idea that ONLY right wingers detest Wikipedia (I don't think most college professors are right wingers), I still encourage you to check the actual sources for their validity.

Having looked them over myself, that specific segment seems to rely very heavily on the same few articles and authors almost all of which are mainstream media outlets so I'd definitely question their validity.

Wikipedia is a good "base" of information. The definition of the alt-right sounds very accurate.

Hmmm...well I disagree, I think the sources given are a little dodgy. Personally I'd define alt-right as being similar to socialism in the way that it fits in to the left-right spectrum in the sense that socialism is liberal and democratic it has communist elements and alt-rightism is conservative and democratic (referring to form of government, not party) it contains fascist elements.

Then elaborate on what part of wiki's definition that you disagree with.
