So famously pundits like to focus on just one word, of just one paragraph, on just one day.

1) Rep Ryan Famously voted for TARP, required since something unprecedented was happening: For which even the Bush Administration had to take preventive measures. That was nearly $1.0 tril.

2) It was a Bush Administration, complete with a Rep. Ryan, so a disaster was underway as the outcome. Obama-Biden would come up with yet another $1.0 tril.

With no pretense of funding Social Security or Medicare: The U. S. Federal Government came with $2.0 tril. in less than 12 months. And still the programs used created an anemic recovery, and illogical analyses like in the link below:

Weak recovery provides strong opportunity for GOP hopefuls - Economy Watch

Over and over again there is the concept of "Worst since the Great Depression." Therefore the comparison with mild and severe "recessions."

In fact, a lot of the current "worst" recovery is in California--a most populated place. A lot the economy isn't noticing anything at all!

The imaginary, "imaginary" recovery is from a disaster easily as deep as everyone was afraid of--when $1.0 tril. was set up to pay bonuses to a few hundred bankers. Even Keynes would say that those were not exactly, "shovel ready jobs."

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!'
(Great Spirit send Greater Winds to Tampa, FL: To clear the air of the "imaginary" signals!)

what is your point, if you know.

The Concept of An "Imaginary Recovery" is not data-based, but is a fantasy. Most of what Ryan-Aiken discuss, in fact, is fantasy.

In the July reporting, Over Half the States have met the Obama-Biden target of less than 8% unemployment. That is 29 states--even enough to win an election. One of the highest reporting states is California, at 10.7, down from over 12.0% under Schwarzenegger-Ryan-Aiken-Bush!

Unemployment Rates for States

The California Republicans have ceased to be a viable force for anything: For about the last five years. Jerry Brown won again, and is now governor. That is not imaginary--and even so far. The California unemployment rate is coming down. There will even by a Brown-Legacy type of Public Works project, getting under way: Due to Jerry Brown. California will have a solid electoral vote for Obama-Biden.

Then add in that comparisons with recoveries from "severe recessions" have nothing to do with the so-called even, "Great Recession:" Then what is imaginary about the recovery is that Ryan eventually even opposed any further spending, opposed to the Obama-Biden portion.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(California Public Works soon to be no longer stuffed in an Undisclosed Location! "Big-Choo-Choo" to be visible in Central Valley, if maybe not smoking--like some people from One Wisconsin(?)!)

Unlike Rep. Paul Ryan, The Brown family Catholics of California are the progressive, more public works oriented, catholic-Catholics that built all the cathedrals, and supported upcoming enterprises all the centuries.

Greece is no longer Conservative-run. California is no longer Schwarzenegger-run. Jerry Brown went back to Edmund "Pat" Brown/Alan Cranston basics. There will be public works at state iniative, again.

Eisenhower had been impressed with the German highway system. Socialist federal highway funding became normative in the United States, and big-time in re: California Freeways. Pat Brown and Alan Cranston created UC campus locations. Nevad propered, even with any visits from a Prince of the Realm.

Jerry Brown has commenced Central Valley public works. Soon, others can follow. Keeping California Green & Golden easily pre-date the debacles, including Ronald Reagan--and the basic concept, GOP, the mental health is Communist Plot.

Not even highways and schools are a Communist Plot: Varying with how Rep. Ryan views his church.

The Vatican seems more impressed with the Holy Father's own Christian Hitler Youth.

(Many Christian Conservatives seem to know their roots: Even despite the orders from the predator-saint apparent--needing a fast track, for the boys(?)!)
