Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said his department would “use every lawful tool we have to push back against” Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf for warning illegal immigrants of a raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Well there is gray side to each view. On one hand is it states rights to do whatever without the Feds stepping in? Or . do we need the Feds to step in on the bases of protecting the nation is this the start of dividing the US just one more way. Using pot as a another area where states can decided if they want to or not then comes the Feds and they say oh no you want etc, etc......

Most who aren't living in lala land would support Sessions in this move though.

This is simple. The states cannot subjugate federal law.

They don't have to help the feds enforce the law but they cannot stand in the way. Alerting criminals about upcoming raids is obstruction of justice. It's no different than if a police chief would be tipping off a drug cartel to an upcoming raid.
