I just heard this story on ABC morning news.

Of course the video game maker makes the game addictive. So are slot machines. So is Sponge Bob apparently. It's all my nephews would watch. That and those 5 guys who wore different color shirts. Should parents sue them for being addictive?

This is clearly the parents fault. Take the fucking game away from your kid. Problem solved. And I don't mean for a week. If your little freak has that much of an addictive personality, never let them play video games. Take all the TV's out of your home. Mom and Dad, you are at fault.

We should not ban alcohol, weed, video games, guns or good tv shows or the internets because they are addictive.

I'm addicted to NFL and when the Superbowl is over, I get a little depessed.

I think I went through withdraw when Soprano's ended.

The one thing I wish they would make illegal is cigarettes.

The thing is to me the person with this personality will latch on to something else. Had a guy at work who used to be into drugs, and then went hard core power lifting, he just replaced one addiction with another.

Banning doesn't work, as Prohibition showed, and our current war on Drugs is showing (although I do think bans on heroin, meth and some others have to be maintained, just remove bans on weed shrooms and others. Coke to me is a tough one. )

The real fun one is the current attempts to ban tobacco.

I'm lucky that I like to gamble, but I don't have the compulsion to gamble large amounts. the $10 blackjack table (when I can find it) is far more fun for me than the $25 blackjack table. And when I bet sports, it's no more than $20 a bet, not like some friends who don't go below $200 per.

I hosted a Texas Holdem game for 10 plus years. Finally one day I realized whatever I win on any given week is never enough. But it depresses me when I lose. I only lose $20 to $100. MAYBE $200. Rare but if I lose anything it pisses me off. So it's not worth it.

We have 3 weed shops in my town. When I watch First 48 and see stories about a person getting murdered for their weed and wad of cash, it makes me sick. Over WEED? The person who wants weed should not have to deal with a drug dealer and the drug dealers are the ones who get shot for their wad and weed. No one yet has robbed any of the 3 pot dispensaries. No one shot. Over weed.

The problem with coke is that it's expensive and hard to stop. If it were legal I'd probably do $500 in a night.
I'm addicted to air.
It's up to the parent to either give or not give their kid a product that is addictive, right? The problem is the parent didn't have the power to take the addictive product away. That means something is wrong with their kid and them. The game works perfectly.

I should sue tetris. LOL

Agreed. The people I know who have addictive personalities are type A with insatiable appetites for....something. They will replace one addiction for another because it's who they are. Just like the old Cheech and Chong bit "I used to be all messed up on drugs. Then I found Jesus and now I'm all messed up on the Lord".

For me it would be suing World of Warcraft.

Damn them when they released WOW Classic, I was clean 7 years.

If you believe in a determinate universe then that's actually true.
And it is a fact that the heart only has so many heart beats. So why get the heart rate up so that it's pumping more than normal? Normal is good.

Fact is, I hope I live as long as Trump has. 77 years? I'll take that. That would be at least 12 good healthy years after I retired of having sex with melania and porn stars and having russian hookers pee on me while eating McDonalds? Shit. I'd take that. I'm 53.

Funny when you get to be 75, suddenly 77 isn't old anymore. Suddenly only 80's is old. Then we are sad when someone doesn't make 100. Shit. How did they make it that long? Probably too long. Look at Jimmy Carter. 99 years old

The question is if that beat number is pre-determined or based on actual variables.

Sorry, but I need to be stoned to go into metaphysical things like this without getting a headache.

My grandfather lived to 102. Died in his own bed, in his own house, still able to drive has car locally, and still able to work doing people's taxes via computer.

My grandmother lived to be pretty old. She didn't do any cardio. Neither did the other one. But we are Greek so it could be the mediteranian diet.

I just don't think exercise is as important as people think. I know way too many people who never "exercised" My uncle is closing in on 100. He eats right, doesn't drink too much, walks every morning in Florida. I mean every morning. But it's just a walk.

Oh yea, I think in America the other problem is stress. These people don't stress out. Stress may be a bigger problem than we realize. Why do people protest? Or strike? Or go on rampages? Do drugs and drink too much? Think they are stressed out?
