Once you pass laws that establish the fetus as a person, aka your 'innocent babies', then the woman becomes a murderer if she has an abortion. There's no logical way around that.

In recent news, Donald Trump got snookered by Chris Matthews with a hypothetical question about abortion. Chris got Donald to say that women should be punished if abortion was illegal.

For his entire campaign, Donald has seemed impervious to PC, until now. Now all of a sudden people seem to care about their abortion rights as it has negatively effected Donald in the polls. For you see, those who support Trump in large part are not really conservatives. They just want someone to kick start the economy and restore order at the border, so the abortion issue is like salt in their wounds because these same people don't want to be held financially responsible for their reproductive actions. For you see, all they care about is their money, just like Donald. In response, Trump has back peddled and said the question was a "gottcha" moment, which it was, but now refuses to talk about it other than saying he thinks it should be a state right issue.

Then enters Hillary. Hillary comes out and talks about the unborn as an "unborn person" and "unborn child". Big mistake in terms of the psychology of word play. She now is taking flack from both happy go lucky abortionists and those who oppose abortion. She then comes out and says that the "unborn children" have no Constitutional rights, BUT she thinks that there should be restrictions on abortion in the third trimester.

What I find the most hilarious of all is that I know neither candidate gives much of a damn about the abortion issue, and it shows. Their lack of introspective rigor on the issue is shining before us, as both slide down in the polls. Their half/half squeamish stance on abortion is on full display for all to see.

Monday’s Supreme Court decision not only affects Texas. Many GOP-led state legislatures, especially across the South, have passed laws similar to the Texas law that are designed to regulate abortion clinics out of business. These so-called TRAP (Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers) laws impose an “undue burden” on women’s ability to get a safe and legal abortion.

Ginsburg made it clear in her concurring opinion on Monday that the high court will never allow these types of laws to stand.
Ginsburg and her "high court" are violating the most basic liberties we have. She has egregiously violated the U.S. Constitution she swore an oath to uphold and protect and as such should be brought up on charges.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

You have such an obvious right to life - it doesn't even require one to articulate why. Only an idiot wouldn't be able to grasp it.

Someone receiving the death penalty committed a heinous crime you buffoon. They are receiving a punishment. A baby is both innocent and harmless. It's as completely different in believing a rapist should go to prison while a law abiding citizen deserves freedom.

Actually that fetus is assaulting the mother . So it's not as "innocent " as you say .

As for the DP. You don't have to give it out. They can get life in prison .

The U.S. Constitution dictates our rights and the roll of government. No where in it does it cite or otherwise recognize "case law". That's just an ignorant and desperate libtard fallacy.

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified on July 9, 1868, and granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed. In addition, it forbids states from denying any person "life, liberty or property, without due process of law" or to "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” By directly mentioning the role of the states, the 14th Amendment greatly expanded the protection of civil rights to all Americans and is cited in more litigation than any other amendment.

You just affirmed the baby's right to life and the unconstitutionality of Roe vs. Wade.

Abortion doesn't belong anywhere on a political platform, it is a U.S. Supreme court issue that was settled 45 years ago. It's a woman's right to choose--and a woman has been able to choose for 45 years now. It was a right leaning court that gave us Roe V Wade and it's been a right leaning court for the last several decades.

The Republican party is really the party that commits political suicide over abortion, and in fact, it's the reason why Romney lost. Romney being moderate on abortion, giving all 3 exceptions didn't help him. As Romney's fate was sealed long before he even became the nominee of the party. Reich wingers turned the platform into abortion, that then went into who's not going to pay for birth control pills, that then went into what is legal--legitimate rape questions. This sent women (the largest voting block) running into Obama's column by double digits, younger women by 36 points.

Not learning anything from the loss in 2012, Republicans lined the stage with several Knuckle dragging Neanderthals again in 2016. All designed to get that Reich wing Evangelical vote. None of them could have ever won the White House, based on their extreme abortion stance. Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Scott Walker, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal. Every one of them was unelectable because they would never attract women voters. Carly Fiorina fell on the abortion sword while campaigning on baby body parts, that turned out to be a fraudulent video coming out of abortion activists in Texas. Then 3 murders in Colorado Springs at a planned parenthood office, and she was done. Even though she was moderate on abortion, giving the 3 exceptions, abortion was the fatal blow to her campaign.

No politician can do anything to change a U.S. Supreme court ruling, regardless of how much they campaign or talk about it. If they tell you they can, they're lying to you. And it's really no ones business if you're pro-life, or pro-choice. Abortion is not even a party line issue. There are Republicans that are pro-choice as there are Democrats that are pro-choice. There are Republicans that a pro-life as there are Democrats that are pro-life.

As long as the Republican party continues to campaign on abortion, they will continue to lose National elections from here on out. There is no candidate that can win the Oval office if they don't give all 3 exceptions--(for the life of the mother, rape & incest.)

You are referring to a Personhood bill. Giving a baby in the womb the same rights as a baby out of the womb (without considering the consequences of such amendment.)

Since our laws do not discriminate.

1. A common miscarriage would have to be investigated and an autopsy performed, and an innocent mother may be charged and prosecuted.
2. A woman who got into a car accident and the baby in the womb died, could be charged with manslaughter, or if you were the fault of the accident you could be charged with manslaughter.
3. An illness or death of any baby in the womb would require an investigation and autopsy.
4. Doctors and nurses delivering still born babies would be investigated, and charges may be made against them.

A baby in the womb is a very fragile life, and we do not want innocent people going to prison for accident or illness's. And that's why a baby in the womb does not have the same rights as a baby out of the womb.

In my State of Colorado the Personhood bill has been soundly defeated on 3 different tries, because of the above reasons.

First of all, the 2nd Amendment was settled 245 years ago. But that doesn't stop idiot liberals from attempting to strip me of my 2nd Amendment rights every single day.

Second - it's not up to the Supreme Court. Both the Declaration of Independence and the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution affirm the right to life.

The baby in the womb is already protected against violent crime committed upon a pregnant woman. But not ordinary circumstances of accident or illness for the obvious reasons I cited above. We can't have every single miscarriage in this country investigated and or prosectuted--LOL

And there are REASONS FOR ABORTIONS that you abortion activists never consider. Women really aren't baby manufacturing plants. They do believe their own lives are worth saving and they aren't going to vote for anyone that doesn't believe the same.

A woman that has cancer: Her doctor will recommend an abortion to save her life.
A women that comes down with the sudden onset of Diabetes also will get a recommendation to abort, if the disease is advanced enough to kill her, should she carry the baby full term.
Woman die everyday giving birth, it just doesn't make the headline news.

SO IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY GOING TO TELL:

A woman who may already have two kids at home that she needs to raise that she needs to die to give birth? Is the Republican party going to tell her husband that his wife needs to die and he can raise the two kids and the baby all by himself?

Is the Republican Party going to tell parents of a young girl that has been repeatedly raped by a relative that their daughter needs to risk her own life to carry a baby to full term?

Is the Republican Party going to tell a lucky to be alive woman, that has been brutally raped that she needs to carry a rape baby to full term, when she is just trying to put her own life back together.

Because this is exactly what you're saying. Recently we had Texas come up with some bullshit law that women couldn't have abortions in hospitals--which was immediately overturned by the Supreme Court. In Oklahoma we had another dumbass legislator introduce another bill to stop abortion, that the Republican Governor refused to sign off on, because the Governor knew it would be immediately overturned. No ONE has the right to intervene into the personal--private family matters of anyone else. And that's something the U.S. Supreme court will always stand solidly on and defend.

It sickened me to see Hobby Lobby get away with being able to intervene into the doctor/patient relationship of a woman to actually dictate which type of birth control devices they would pay for.

No candidate is going to win a National election if they're extreme on abortion. They have to give all 3 exceptions or they're not going to make it to the starting block.
