This comes with all sorts of charts and commentary. And I haven't the faintest idea what it all means. Read for yourselves @ A wimpy La Niña is on the way toward La Nada status - ImaGeo

La Nina refers to the periodic cooling of ocean surface temperatures in the central and east-central equatorial Pacific. Typically, La Nina events occur every 3 to 5 years or so, but on occasion can occur over successive years. La Nina represents the cool phase of the El Nino/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) cycle.

This is a weak La Niña and it's now in place, which could mean that the impacts may not be as strong as a typical La Niña winter. Generally, in a La Niña winter you would expect warmer and drier than average conditions in the southern tier, while the northern tier experiences cooler and wetter conditions.

The data fabricators over at NOAA have serious problems as the La Niña has been moderate now for over seven months.

Glory Hallelujah, look at that graph, Silly Billy is finally admitting that it existed. LOL

And look at that wimpy La Nina.Barely at 0.5 right now. And the prediction is for it to disappear shortly.
