A Serious Question that apparently no one wants to answer

Maybe you should get cue cards like Joe Biden, Daniel? That way you won't sound so ridiculous? Have someone you know who's smart...write down smart things for you to say! :)
You only know how to resort to fallacy. Any person with a tertiary education would know how to ask relevant questions instead of having nothing but ad hominems and other diversions from the subject at hand.

Equal protection of the law for unemployment compensation in our at-will employment States can solve for simple poverty while automatically stabilizing our economy in the process. Only right-wingers seem to have a problem with that, and we already know not to take right-wingers seriously about economics.

Simple enough answer.

Most people prefer not to work when they can have higher income by suckling at the governmant teat than from breaking a sweat.

What I am finding puzzling is that so few who could really make big bucks on overtime seem reluctant to do more than the bare minimum.
Why are our legislators trying to coerce the Poor under our form of Capitalism into a work ethic (from the Age of Iron) in modern economic times? Employment is at the will of either party; there should be no bias in favor of Capitalists for market based arbitrage. It could be said under truer forms of Capitalism, that there is no natural unemployment only natural underpayment on the part of the Rich.

If UE benefits pay more than full time employment there is a big time wage problem. Because what the govt is giving isn't much at all

True. $300 a week is about $7.50 an hour, and minimum wage adjusted for real inflation should be around 3 times that. The fact is the right wing ideologues hate working people and consider them scum, which is why they keep losing elections to even the looniest of deviants and commies; they're as worthless as the commies, and they actually get along great with commies and their 25 cents an hour government forced labor there in Red China. They mostly agree with commies more than they disagree.

Why, exactly, are America's restaurants and other food and service businesses having so much trouble finding workers? Restaurants, gyms, coffee shops, swimming pools, golf courses, retail stores...what gives?

The Politicization of Everything has resulted in the two sides opposing along the matter of extended and enhanced unemployment compensation. The political Right says the people who would normally be working these jobs are staying home because of the generous UEC benefits, while the Left says, No Way! People are NOT refusing to work because of the extra money! It's just the CHEAP employers being unwilling to pay fair wages!

But it wouldn't be that difficult to find the real answer. "We" know the names of the people who held those jobs before the Cajuna Virus took over; call them up and ask why they are not coming back. Better yet: stop the extended and enhanced UEC payments and see if there is any impact on the unfilled jobs.

Inquiring minds want to know.
12 red states did the this summer, why have you not checked the unemployment numbers before posting?

I have two jobs.
Full time pays $85 hour.
Part Time pays $75 hour.
10.5 Hours per day.
Plus travel time between jobs (25 minutes)
I work my ass off.

And PROUDLY pay my taxes.

I spend well and eat well and tip well, and I save $1-2 thousand a month.

Now imagine the $10 hour worker.
Or even the $15 wage earner.

(D) want to fix the $10 wage to a higher wage.
(R) want to say fuck you, just get another job and ......Capitalism.....low Taxes for RICH.

In the UK, the remoaners blame Brexit, but the problem appears to be across the planet.

As each decade passes, more and more are wanting the money but not to work for it. And the youth of today feel entitled to that.
