A new "Fiscal Cliff?"


Will the dems implode and remove any doubt that the gop will take both houses of congress?

I think it is going to happen either way. The dem control is so slim, going to the hard left is going to cost them support in the midterms in more moderate/conservative districts and not going to the hard left is going to cost them turn out. It is just a matter of which one costs them more---losing turnout or embolding opposition turn out....and of course, there is the redistricting issue.

They can't, they don't have the power. It's up to democrats to make the deals and keep things going.

Anyone else ever notice that, while it takes two to tango, one of the partners is never blamed for refusing to dance?
