Which does not happen....we have the Dallas shooting, with civilians openly carrying rifles and pistols in the middle of a mass shooting...and they allowed the police to handle it....

We have the Giffords shooting, where 2 concealed carriers were ready to shoot, but didn't because the guy was subdued....

They guy who shot the perp was an off duty cop, fully trained on how to use his weapon, legal gun and went through a background check. You're not going to find too many liberals who will take issue with that.

You will find the NRA takes issue with mandatory training and background checks.

He was so off duty he wasn't due to work again for 2 months......he was a part time officer....virtually a reserve officer......

As a conservative Republican who supports the Second Amendment, I come across quite a few gun owners. Friends, associates, and fellow gun show shoppers.

In the context of mall shootings, there are three types of gun owners.

1. The fearless types who have some perspective and walk upright like men. They do not fear Muslims or going to the mall. If their normal day does not involve carrying, they have not started to carry because of these mall shootings.

2. The type who are a little nervous about the mall shootings, and carry just in case they need to defend themselves or others in the one in a zillion chance it will happen where they live.

3. And then there are the gun owners who carry constantly, praying and hoping they get to shoot themselves a Muslim. They fantasize constantly of being on Fox News, telling Bill O'Reilly how they plugged a raghead.


All three of these kinds of gun owners are Trump voters, for the most part, but for different reasons.
