That 75% figure is questionable at best. It seems to be this entire thread has no purpose other than to stigmatize all Black males as being predisposed to such behavior. If a cause and effect analysis were to be applied here, any credible hypothesis would include examples from across the globe where correlations could be made.

Having performed a cursory investigation into this matter I see that poverty often plays a huge role.
Austerity measures in Europe are causing both sexes to abandon their children in record numbers.
A closer examination of the mental states of those who leave their babies may shed light on solutions to

You may want to check the source for those stats because they do not add up. There's no money for child support with 1 in 10 young black men in prison, one-third unemployed, and most of the remainder engaged in menial labor. If black males behaved as responsibly as you suggest then the Democratic Party would be out of business.

I also care enough to belong to a foundation that encourages academic excellence, and rewards high achievers with tuition assistance. This is very simple - if you can't afford something; you should not aquire it! First we need to evaluate how much a child cost. If someone cannot afford a child, they should not be allowed to procreate. We live in a capitalist society - we need to accept that reality.

This is all about personal responsibility. If a sorry ass parent does not want to assume responsibility for their child, they should be placed in a work camp where they are forced to be productive. They should produce enough to pay for their food, housing, heathcare, and every other expense that their sorry ass existance generates, and their children's.
