6Trump Could Have Helped Response To Jan. 6 Riot- But Did Not - Per New Testimoney

What a strange admission, liberals have an expectation of effectiveness for Republican leaders, but no such standards for their own leaders. So much so they allowed rioting, looting, and burning to continue in their urban shitholes for months. It says a lot that liberals expect weakness from their own. How sad.

Whites like me laugh at whites like you, trash. Oh and you're also a traitor.

Come on lefties, this is getting silly. When you can't connect Trump to the Jan 6 incident the strategy from Politico turns to the absurd charge that he didn't make it easy to call out the Guard. In fact Trump tried to have the Guard on hand but it would have conflicted with the corrupt agenda of the FBI.

Donald Trump could have cleared up confusion and hastened the arrival of National Guard troops to quell the Capitol riot if he’d called Pentagon leaders on Jan. 6, 2021, according to recent closed-door congressional testimony by two former leaders of the D.C. guard.

Michael Brooks, the senior enlisted leader of the D.C. guard at the time of the riot, and Brigadier Gen. Aaron Dean, the adjutant general of the D.C. guard at the time, told House Administration Committee staffers that if Trump had reached out that day — which, by all accounts, he did not — he might have helped cut through the chaos amid a tangle of conflicting advice and miscommunication.

Could the president have picked up the phone, called the secretary of defense, and said, you know, ‘What’s going on here?’ Our law enforcement is getting overrun, make this happen!’” a committee staffer asked Brooks, according to the transcript of a previously unreported March 14 interview reviewed by POLITICO.

I assume he could expedite an approval through the Secretary of Defense, through the Secretary of the Army,” Brooks replied.

At 2:15 p.m., protestors broke into the Capitol Building.

At 2:38 p.m. Trump tweeted, "Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!"

At 4:17 p.m., Trump issued a video telling the January 6th protestors to go home, and again reminded them to be peaceful. Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube removed the videos.

Wow, you truly take stupidity to new heights, injecting race where it has no place or context. Run along mental midget, your betters are talking and you'll only further embarrass yourself.

As usual, your Looneytunes comment is pure bs.
Piglosi refused any assistance, she was the one who could have done something is she chose to.
But wow, that flag and baby carriage crowd sure was violent.....
Why did Pence make numerous calls to military leaders asking for the NG etc when those animals were rampaging thru the Capital? Why didn't Trump make those calls?

Because he was too busy jizzing himself as his buddies invaded the Capital.

Nope, been here, done that, the President of the United States leads the executive branch of government and can not order military troops to the Legislative branch of government, that is congress.

Congress refused the National Guard prior to the Jan. 6th, according to the same departments testifying now.

Might have, does not change a thing and should not be allowed in any testimony of such things that have grave consequences for our nation.
That is totally wrong and untrue....someone is dishing you bull crud!!!

The President is in charge and the head if the DC National guard for the ENTIRE capitol and executive complex..... NOT Pelosi, or anyone else.... The President is commander in chief. The President only can designate whomever he chooses to do this work, but this can only come from the President.

Also, the minute they attacked, Vice President Pence and Speaker Pelosi ASKED for the National Guard....but could not get the National Guard to respond for 3 hours after their request because the people President Trump Delegated for the job did not know what to do, without the President's clear orders and direction.

Today’s D.C. National Guard remains strong with more than 2,700 Soldiers and Airmen available to execute its missions. D.C. National Guard Soldiers and Airmen resides within the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, and are proud to be from the communities in which we protect and serve.

The D.C National Guard was formed in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson to defend the newly created District of Columbia. As such, the Commanding General of the D.C. National Guard is subordinate solely to the President of the United States. This authority to activate the D.C. National Guard has been delegated, by the President, to the Secretary of Defense and further delegated to the Secretary of the Army. The D.C. National Guard is the only National Guard unit, out of all of the 54 states and territories, which reports only to the President.

The D.C. National Guard provides mission-ready personnel and units for active duty in the armed services in the time of war or national emergency.
The D.C. National Guard also retains the mission as protector of the District of Columbia.

The Legislative Branch of Government is separate from the Executive Branch of government.

The president is the executive branch of government and is in charge of the National Guard.

Congress is in charge of the Legislative Branch, and thus is charge of the Capitol Building and the grounds surrounding the Capitol Building, which congress operates out of.

The legislative branch, through the capitol police, through the laws they write, are responsible for their own security. Not the executive branch of government.

Due to separation of powers, the Executive branch of government can not order the National guard to enter the Legislative Branches Capitol building nor it's grounds.

Prior to Jan. 6th, according to testimony from various legislative branch officials, the National guard was refused by the Legislative branch of government.

Trump offered, Pelosi refused.

It was refused prior, because they believed the whole rally was going to be at the Ellipse area, where Trump organizers obtained their protest and rally permits for...which was around 2 miles from the Capitol Building. CPolice asked to have a DC National Guard rapid response team on standby, instead, in case for some reason they may need them immediately.

No one in Trump's organizers for the 1/6 rally did they apply for a march down Pennsylvania avenue nor for protesting at the Capitol from the Park Police, which was required under law, from Trump.

Part of the evidence the 1/6 committee had acquired, are emails among the lead organizers who were made aware that trump was going to send his rally goers down to the capitol, discussing NOT applying for the march and capitol protests with the park police because President Trump wanted to have an element of surprise....

The National Guard was requested by Capitol Police, and by Pelosi, and by Vice President Pence immediately after the Rioting began or the building was breached.

There was no DC National guard Rapid Response team sent when asked for on 1/6.

It was refused because they preplanned for things to go wrong and adequate security could have foiled their plot

Trump made close to half dozen admonitions to his supporters to be strenuous but lawful. Libs lost their shit (they don’t have minds to lose) and have concocted every pitiful false emotion possible to pin an insurrection (a non term here) on Trumo via two dozen buffalo horns.

That Trump intentionally did nothing for more than two hours while his lawless, violent supporters committed their acts of domestic terrorism is one of countless reasons why Trump is unfit to hold any public office.
183 minutes he did nothing despite pleadings and entreaties from his family and from his staff, from Republican Congressional leaders. Per testimony from those witnesses....all Republicans .... we all watched at the J6 Committee hearings.
It was...manifestly.....dereliction of duty by the man who loudly claimed that 'Only I Can Fix It". Dereliction of duty by the United States' Commander in Chief.

Piglosi refused any assistance,
  • Prove it. Or show us credible responsible sourcing.

biden supporters caused the riot by loading bogus votes into the stupid vote by mail system
  • Prove it. Or show us credible responsible sourcing.

and by refusing the national guard then infiltrating the crowd with antagonists inciting the riot.

"...about a tiff that got a little out of hand. Pathetic,..."
  1. Tell that to the 140 injured police.
  2. Tell that to the family of Ashli Babbitt.
  3. Tell that to the staffers who barricaded their office doors for hours in fear of beatings or murder by Trump supporters.

  4. Tell that to the Capitol police who aimed their pistols into the face of attackers who had attempted to breach doorways.
