I read the linked article.
I was pleased to see that, way down in the article there was actually a specific policy complaint.
"They viewed Mr. Trump’s comments on NATO as an abandonment of America’s most significant alliance relationship."
That is a real point. Here is the obvious response.
The Cold War is over. The reasons we had for confronting the Soviet Union do NOT apply to it's Pale Shadow, Russia.
Russia is not a threat to US, or even our interests.
