Why are you effectively repeating the age old nonsense type of preference question ,
Apple versus Pear ---- because both are fruit ? Or even Man versus Woman, presumably because both are allegedly the same species ?
They are separate entities with respective values and contexts.
I particularly like Gewurtrzraminer, but there are several factors influencing and qualifying that choice which I would not expect others to share -- and for many different reasons.

Maybe it appears as "nonsense" for you. :)
It is no nonsense for me.

Grape varieties are a pleasant topic! :)
Talking about them is the next good thing to drinking them. :)

From the grape varieties that I have mentioned, I like best:

white: Gewürztraminer :)
red: Zinfandel :)

Yes, I like some grape varieties more than others, which I think is perfectly normal and natural. :)

For me grape varieties are really important.
Which ones do you know and like? :)

I have now read up on Lindauer Rosé.

According to my source it is from New Zealand.
And made from:
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir und Pinotage.

I'm not a big wine drinker but I like a dryer white. The Sancerre Rieslings are one of my favorites as they are not like the overly sweet German Rieslings

the overly sweet German Rieslings

I keep reading about sweet Rieslings.
To that I say: Riesling wines can be anything from very dry to very sweet.
And in Germany you can get all those sorts.

I suspect that mostly or only sweet and over-sweet German Rieslings are exported from Germany to the US.
Because the customers expect German Rieslings to be sweet.

So this thing is like a self-fullfilling prophecy.
