4 million homeless in Pakistan floods

Democracy - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Main Entry: de·moc·ra·cy
Pronunciation: \di-ˈmä-krə-sē\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural de·moc·ra·cies
Etymology: Middle French democratie, from Late Latin democratia, from Greek dēmokratia, from dēmos + -kratia -cracy
Date: 1576
1 a : government by the people; especially : rule of the majority b :a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
2 : a political unit that has a democratic government
3 capitalized : the principles and policies of the Democratic party in the United States <from emancipation Republicanism to New Deal Democracy — C. M. Roberts>
4 : the common people especially when constituting the source of political authority
5 : the absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges

The fact that a constitution exists that limits the government's power makes the state constitutional. That the head(s) of state and other officials are chosen by election, rather than inheriting their positions, and that their decisions are subject to judicial review makes a state republican.

Funny.. not just rule of majority

You ignorant bitch

Why the fuck do you think I do not pay taxes?

So it's only your taxes that go for it... and please show where it is our government's constitutional responsibility to pay for the problems of Pakistani citizens

Why do you have no problem with bombing a country but throw a fact free tantrum when the idea of aid being way fucking more effective than bombs to keep us safe is realised?

Constitutionally charged with funding the military, military actions, and national defense

Not constitutionally charged with taking care of another country's citizenry

Whether a majority of citizens want it or not... than k God we don't have a democracy, but indeed have a constitutional republic

Go back to school, you ignorant bitch... or better yet... as said yesterday... JUMP

In 2005 there were nearly a million homeless people HERE IS THE UNITED STATES.

And that was during the boom years.

I would suspect that number to have doubled by now in the current economic conditions.

If we are going to spend taxpayers dollars, we should spend them HERE FIRST.

Once we have eradicated homelessness in the U.S. we can send any surplus overseas.

I wish you would have felt that way when Bush wanted to Bomb a country for lies

Learning opportunity. Will she take it folks?

Did you note teh MW dictionary definition?

Anybody surprised? Anyone at all? Words, they mean stuff people.

She just will not get it because of her ignorance and her hyper-partisan hackery

There is indeed a huge difference between a democracy government and a constitutional republic government... they are not the same... even when differences are shown, the bitch keeps insisting she's right...

Here... I'm no Paul supporter, but even he can explain the difference rather simply

Even more places where it can be explained... It's an easy google search
Constitutional republic vs. social democracy
John Adams defined a constitutional republic as "a government of laws, and not of men."[1] Constitutional republics are a deliberate attempt to diminish the perceived threat of majoritarianism, thereby protecting dissenting individuals and minority groups from the "tyranny of the majority" by placing checks on the power of the majority of the population.

But even that is not the charge of our government... our government was not created to be the provider for personal needs of foreign citizens NOR our citizenry

Hard to argue with that.
