The left has long advocated for limiting civil rights to strictly the wealthy by trying to institute massive taxes on things they don't like, so only rich people can afford them.

The president's own son, a known federal gun criminal, could probably still afford to illegally purchase an AR-15, but it will become out of reach for the average American.

Remember, Democrats = civil rights for the rich only.

A Democratic lawmaker has introduced a bill designed to curb sales of semi-automatic weapons like AR-15s, the type of firearm used by both shooters in the massacres in Uvalde and Buffalo last month. If passed, the legislation would impose a 1,000% tax on any type of semi-automatic weapon, making the firearms prohibitively expensive for most would-be buyers.

The new bill, introduced by Rep. Don Beyer of Virginia on Tuesday, comes as a group of 20 senators announced Sunday that they had reached a consensus on the key priorities of a deal to reform the nation's gun laws. The 1,000% tax on semi-automatic weapons would "give the Senate an option for further action to address the epidemic of gun violence" beyond the reform already in the works, Beyer said in a statement.

DemoKKKrats: Silly Americans, civil rights are for rich folks.

Interesting to see if this bill actually passes in the Senate and in the House. Would it be constitutional?

What this bill tells us is what will happen if the democrats ever regain control of the House, Senate, and the WH. Not just this bill but a host of other progressive democrat policies and priorities, especially when they abolish the filibuster and pack the Supreme Court with 3 or 4 new left-leaning justices.

That's what they want - increased crime and homicide against law-abiding Americans.

The funny thing is that at the price that would jack up an AR15 to, one might as well just get a Fed stamp and buy FULL AUTO. :laugh2:

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the democrats drove millions of people to start buying fully automatic machine guns in response to their anti-gun bill? :auiqs.jpg:

Good way to stimulate the illicit gun trade, Democrats. I see a good future in being a gun smuggler. :laughing0301:

So fully 10% of the people representing you in Congress want to limit civil rights to rich people. OK.

And that 10% are only the sponsors of the bill. If it gets to a vote, I expect at least 90-95% of your reps to vote in favor.
The Neo-GOP are made up of some of the dumbest fucks ever. In Congress I'm represented by two Senators and a House member from my district. Prohibitive Taxes like that are likely unconstitutional.
