I agree vote principle, vote the true conservative, but you must also think of the winning combination. No matter what we are going to have to vote Republican, or NOT vote. That is our only choice, and a NOT vote because of our core values is essentially a vote for Commie/socialist/democrat bitches. Let's see what time brings to us, one never knows with the dictatorship in office, and their ideology stronger then their desire to get another Democrat elected, will bring... gun confiscation, religious freedoms eroded further, And the feckless Republicans have NOT done a thing about this, not mentioned it, not even hinted at it, as no matter what one says, it is still important to 70+% of America....

This thread should not be geared towards just conservatives. It should also be geared towards middle voters too. Just left and right of center. And here's why: There's no point in nominating a GOP candidate who won't get enough votes to win.

If the GOP goes running anyone who even hints at reeking of Dick Cheney's stank or the old guard as such, they're going to lose. No matter how many tricks they have up their sleeve. There's only one thing middle voters detest more than gay marriage, Benghazi, the IRS issues, the immigration issues etc. and that's the Sith Lord and his proteges getting ahold of the reins again..

While pouring acid on the middle voters like me may feel like an ego rush for you, it's not going to pan out very well at the polls. If I were you, I'd take the advice...if you want to win that is.

If not, carry on.. No skin off my teeth. I voted for Christie. But that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone here. I think a Christie/Paul or Christie/Perry ticket would be a landslide. If you care about my opinion at all, any of those slick gets that have those waxy smooth complections and flesh-crawling smiles with manicured hands that look smoother than a 16 year old girl's you can keep. Those sheisters ain't getting my vote. I'd only vote for a ticket that has crows feet and dirt under their fingernails. Real dirt. I would support Ted Cruz who was the only one besides Mike Lee that didn't cower away from saying no to extending the debt ceiling.. He took a lot of heat and never backed down. I have MAD respect for Ted Cruz.
