A friend who is culling his S&W collection to concentrate on Colts called and offered-up a 1921 .32-20 5" Hand-Ejector (4th model) M&P in trade for a 4.50" M1895 Colt New Navy I had plus $100.00 boot on my end......I jumped on it since I only had $75.00 in the Colt and it was not all that anyway condition wise. ;)

I took the rather tired S&W service stocks off and replaced them with a set of Brit Cogwell & Harrison stocks I had.....It will go nicely with my 1925 Win. M1892 in .32-20.

The holster is interesting as it started out life as a M1883 Reichsrevolver holster then the West Germans reconfigured them for surplus 5" Victory models for police use.....Same frame/barrel length as the .32-20.

Interesting choice of caliber for a S&W, they're going in the $300-$500 range.

LOL....I have three of them now, a 5" made in 1899, a mint in box 4" made in 1935, and the 5" I picked-up today.....

I'm such a sucker for .32-20. I have five rifles chambered in it....A Win. M1873, two Win. M92s, a #2 1/2 Rem. Rolling Block, and a Savage Sportsman.

I have a line on a honest 60% Colt SAA (4.75") 1st gen in .32-20 (lettered with period holster) but the trade to make it happen involves giving-up a 100% correct WW-2 NPM M1 Carbine....A fair trade to be sure but they are getting so damn hard to come by now.

Damn, dude. You're the god of guns.

I'm down to a beat-to-shit Springfield 03-A3 that had the stock cut down, a pretty Enfield P-1917 with a Fajen stock, a 1951 Marlin bolt-action .22 rifle (don't remember the model), a rusty British Enfield .303 I bought at a garage sale from a guy who later tried to kill his wife with a baseball bat then ate a shotgun, a 1965 Colt Cobra, my wife's single-barrel .410 shotgun, her Taurus G2C 9mm, my G19 concealed carry piece, an Interarms AK-47, a Uberti Cattleman 44 magnum pistol, a .50 caliber Lyman black powder rifle, a repro Colt and Remington black powder pistol, and a S&W Model 916 12 gauge pump shotgun. I cleared out everything I didn't want to keep at the last three gun shows in town.

I was just out back awhile earlier sighting in the 03-A3, getting her ready for deer season.
