19.5% of America is on Welfare?

The statistic would be much more meaningful if it excluded SSI payments to all of us baby boomers that paid into Social Security and now receiving its benefit. I would like to see how much of that 19% is under the age of 62.

No, I did not review every statement made by everyone in the world to find out if anyone actually said what you assert, so let me correct myself:

If anyone ever said that the Covid vaccine would absolutely 100% protect from Covid, and you believed them:

You are an IDIOT!!!
Your story is changing. Always happens to liars when caught lying.

And I certainly didn't believe any of them. Unfortunately, many lemmings like you did.

You claimed nobody ever said it, Simp.

You lied.
I didn't realize either that at the time Biden said "if you get vaccinated you can't get the virus".

He didn't lie. He was wrong. And I remember that being a new revelation to me as well. I was expecting that I would not get Covid after I got vaccinated. But then I realized you could get it, just you won't get as sick.

How come you never mention the things Biden/Fauci got right?

New study shows fewer people die from covid-19 in better vaccinated communities

Deaths more than 80% lower in communities with high vaccination coverage

A large US study published by The BMJ today finds that fewer people die from covid-19 in better vaccinated communities.

The findings, based on data across 2,558 counties in 48 US states, show that counties with high vaccine coverage had a more than 80% reduction in death rates compared with largely unvaccinated counties.

Republicans, I will agree with you that this is unacceptable.

Overall: In 2019, 19.5 percent of the total population received or lived with a family member who received a benefit in any amount from TANF, SNAP, or SSI at any point during the year.

Glad to read this

With some exceptions, non-citizens entering the United States after August 22, 1996, the date of enactment of the welfare reform legislation, are not eligible for most welfare benefits, including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SSI, Medicaid, and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), ...
Need another round of tax breaks for the wealthy corps. ;)

This is just what Nostra does. He won't accept it that Biden was just wrong or just made a mistake. He had to be lying. And he won't address what Biden got right

30 million cases of covid-19 and over 400,000 deaths linked to covid-19 across 2558 counties, which were reported during the second year of the pandemic, between December 2020 and December 2021.

They measured effectiveness by comparing reported covid-19 incidence and mortality rates in counties with very low (0-9%), low (10-39%), medium (40-69%), and high (70% or more) vaccination coverage - defined as the percentage of adults (aged 18 and over) who had received at least one dose of a covid-19 vaccine.

The researchers found that increased vaccination coverage in counties was associated with reduced levels of covid-19 related mortality and cases.

For example, during the first half of 2021, when the alpha variant was dominant, the covid-19 mortality rate was reduced by 60%, 75%, and 81% in counties with low, medium, and high vaccination coverage, respectively, compared with counties that had very low coverage.

Well to have a discussion on welfare it is important to understand why some are on welfare. What cause people to need welfare? The idea that we live in one of the top economies in the word and everyone should prosper is just a dream.

It is not like the want to live in poverty on purpose.

There are many factors from criminal records, deadbeat dad, illness, birth defects, etc

There are circumstances that create conditions that make it hard to escape poverty.

I am not saying it is impossible but the odds are not in your favor.

poverty rates by country. Canada, USSR and China to name a few have lower poverty rates that the US. The US rate is not bad. The ones who have better rates

Two are communist countries and one is a democracy but has a strong socialist inclination to provide support to its citizen with health care, unemployment benefits, etc.
So true.
Hard to be brought up to succeed when one’s own parents don’t know how to themselves.

They love to blame everyone but themselves. Let's be honest. If a lot of people need to be on welfare, it's not the people on welfare's fault. Its the societies fault. For example, after the Great Depression the politicians raised taxes on rich people to put this country back to work. And they created social safety nets in case someone couldn't find work or their husband died. GI bills. Affordable college. Union protections. Pensions. Job Security. They had it all. By they I mean Boomers.

But then they told us Gen X'ers we were stupid and lazy and that's why we won't do as well as our parents. And don't expect your social security. You want a pension? Are you crazy? Do you want your job to go overseas?

Something’s wrong when 20% of Americans need government assistance to survive.

With a minium wage of $7.50, and you saying it shouldn't be raised, why are you surprised by this.

Wages, as a percentage of costs, are now at the same level as the Guilded Age of the 1800's - before unions, and the rise of the American Middle Class. The American middle class is shrinking, with more falling into poverty than rising into wealth.

And still you refuse to rewrite labour laws and tax codes to give workers a better cut of the pie.

Ladies, if you want your son to have ten times the chance to go to prison, have him out of wedlock with you as a single parent.

That is not love by you.

That's why the crime rate dropped by 10 points 20 years after Roe v Wade. Women were not having unwanted children out of wedlock. The crime rate continued to drop by 1% each year for the next 5 years.

Wasn't just Tater pushing the lie, Simp.

Please try to keep up.

The authors of that study got raked over the goals for being anti-feminist and racist for putting out the stats.

Got any credible study saying the lower crime rate was due to abortions? :auiqs.jpg:

Unless you're a felon I can't think of any reason you wouldn't be able to easily find better paying work than that. Anywhere in the country.

So true.
Hard to be brought up to succeed when one’s own parents don’t know how to themselves.
My buddy at work just pointed something out. Our parents didn't go to college. They were immigrants or 1st generation and they worked their asses off so we could go to college. They couldn't afford to go to college but wanted their kids to go. My parents didn't know shit about getting into college. SAT's, ACT's,

So they couldn't afford to go to college but wanted us to go.

Now today young people can't afford to go to college and Republicans say don't go to college. Be a plumber.

Now I asked my Republican friend the other day if he really would want his kid to grow up to be a plumber. He said yes. And he imagined that his son would own the business and make a lot of money. So in his mind this is not settling.

Yes. You can google it. Asshole.
I have been predicting this for years. Is there actually a study now out proving my theory correct? It's obvious. Suddenly women who didn't want to be parents and wouldn't raise their kids properly could just abort? Problem solved.

So now we have how many fewer unwanted children running around?

I believe 70% of the prisoners receive zero visitors while in prison. Unwanted people.

I don't need a study to show me that if people who don't want to be parents are forced to have them, crime is going to go up because they aren't going to be good parents.

616,000 abortions a year means at least 300,000 fewer criminals running around.
