as teachers. too. 90% of colleges would have to close if it were not for loans and grants to students, provided by the tax payer. So, say 2 million are employed at colleges. many more are employed at vocational schools that are not part of the above statistic.

Fast Facts

20 million kids are in college, and 90% of them could not be there were it not for loans and grants. Again, large numbers are in vocational schools on loans and grants, not reflected in the above statistics.

Therefore, if it were not for 25 million people (students, teachers, workers) being involved in higher education, they'd all be unemployed job-seekers. That's the reality of how BAD this economy IS, folks. Our workforce is rated as being about 200 million. So the REAL unemployment rate is actually more like 20%, not the 10% that Big Bro ADMITS to. The unemployment rolls dont SHOW the millions of people who would STILL be on those lists, if legally allowed. Millions have given up on the idea of ever having a job that amounts to anything. So they support themselves by mooching off of others, and by means of crime.

the govt considers you to be "employed" if youve worked 20 hours in the past 2 weeks! Students are considered to be 'employed", too, you see. So the numbers are FAR worse than people realize!

What do you have to mooch, since your gal pal didn't get her student loans for you to pilfer?
