The New York prosecutor in the New York City hush money case against Donald Trump was previously hired for 'political consulting' by the Democratic National Committee.

The revelations regarding attorney Matthew Colangelo raises concerns over the perceived politicalization of the multiple cases against the former president – and specifically the first case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office.

Colangelo, according to a Fox News Digital review of Federal Election Commission records, was paid $12,000 by the DNC on January 31, 2018. It was distributed by DNC Services Corp/Democratic National Committee in two separate payments of $6,000 on the same day.

I thought it was the Babylon Bee at first. How can this be allowed? People already employed by the government should not be political consultants for Dems, Reps, or any political party. Not if you're a mailman, much less a prosecutor going after political opponents.

The Dems are not even pretending anymore, just being blatant with the lawfare.

Maybe.

We'll never know, because how can we trust any legal procedings done by such obviously conflicted, politically motivated, and dishonest people?

If you reallly thought Trump was a life-long criminal you would insist that untainted prosecutors and judges worked his cases. You would want to avoid even the appearance of conflict in order to validate the results of the trials.

And Trump's lawyers have represented the GOP in various ways at various times.

He's not a government prosecutor.

I wouldn't have an issue if the prosecutor had represented the DNC as a lawyer. Representing scumbag clients is a legit part of legal practice by their ethics. Working as political operative while also working for the government steps over the line. You may not realize it since it is such a common practice.

There are no conflicts. The court is not political. Trump is a life long criminal.
Republican and democrat judges.
This is all just Trump being who and what he has his whole life.

None of your arguments make sense. Many of Trump's lawyers have worked for the government as wall as the GOP before.
