Zelensky wants blood: demands US troops be part of "peacekeeping" force in Ukraine

They would if it was part of the armistice treaty.
That's simply saying Russia would approve of UN troops if it approved of UN troops, but it won't.

Understand something - Russia started the war for specific reasons, it has goals and only if those goals are met will Russia agree to anything.

That's why the recent ludicrous suggestion by the idiotic Trump that "delays" NATO membership by 10 or 20 years was immediately rejected by Russia.

It is an objective of the war to ensure that under no circumstances will Ukraine host NATO bases or assets and that the illegitimate US installed Zelensky regime is democratically removed from power.

If Trump can make that happen, the war will stop, so that's what he has to do but so far he seems just as inept as he always is when dealing with foreign matters.

The US should simply stop aiding Ukraine and desist from any support for its government, Trump has been signing executive orders for three days now and I just cannot understand why he's struggling over this simple decision.

Their goal was to remove the existing Ukrainian government and replace it. they failed.

Ukraine wants Donbas and Crimea back, they are failing.

Keep sucking that Putin dick.

The area East of the Dnipro River - NEW RUSSIA - was part of the former USSR since the 1600's - there is NOTHING for Russia "to give back"

They can claim whatever they want, after all the population shuffling done after WWII Russia has weak claims on any area previously populated by X and replaced with Russians.

The US goal was to make Ukraine a NATO member, they failed.

The US wants the Panama canal back, they will fail.

Ukraine wanted it, and their concerns appear to have been justified.

What is the big difference between Poland and the Baltics in NATO and Ukraine in NATO?

Biden would have joyfully sent our sons and daughters to die in Ukraine, but I'm not sure Trump will be so willing.

The Dems are in a rage over the imminent end of their money-laundering grift.

Now Zelensky is demanding US boots on the ground in his country.

In an interview with Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait, Zelenskiy said that his European allies don’t have enough soldiers to pose a realistic deterrent to President Vladimir Putin and any other solution would risk opening up divisions within the NATO alliance.

The 46-year-old Ukrainian leader is attempting to lock in support from his most important ally as the diplomatic push to halt the fighting in his country gathers pace. He bristled at the idea, floated Tuesday, that the military backing of his European allies would suffice.

'It can’t be without the United States,' Zelenskiy told Bloomberg Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos. 'Even if some European friends think it can be, no it can’t be. Nobody will risk without the United States.'

Trump is not Weak Worthless *Joe. He will put him in his place immediately. The midget will demand nothing.

It crosses a red line. Russia said plainly at the time the Berlin wall came down and the reunification of Germany was underway, that Russia would only agree to the reunification if NATO did not begin to encroach upon the Russian border.

This is history, easy to go and find if you care too.

Russia said (I've read the US state dept. memos on this) that if NATO started to encourage bordering states to become NATO members, then Russia would "begin to mass troops along those borders".

Russia objected to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania but avoided military action. The west though love to push push push push and Ukraine was perhaps the most strategically threatening potential NATO expansion and so they did what they said they'd do, nobody with any knowledge of all this was even slightly surprised at Russia invading Ukraine.

The United States has been fucking around for far too long, like it owns the fucking planet and every other nation must do it's bidding.

Now trumpanzees explain

Why has Trump not simply said what he implied he would, and that is announce no more military aid to Ukraine, what's the hold up? it's just another executive order - why is he hesitating?

He can quickly extricate the US from this war and stop wasting tax payers money - why is he scared to act???

The answer is that Trump is weak, he has no idea what to do, he's an idiot.

So Russia should have bully power over it's neighbors?

Neighbors that would rather have protection from Western Europe?

^ This

Trump picked some really bad advisers on Ukraine

Trump nor the UN are going to send troops into Ukraine to fight Russians it’s not gonna happen. That would be the beginning of a potential WWlll.

Don't be a wanker. The US went to war far far from home in the 1950s and after, because "communism" was declared an existential threat.

Russia sees NATO bases - some with US nuclear weapons - surrounding the country and sees that as an existential threat.

Russia position is FAR more credible than was the United States during Korea, Vietnam etc.

Protection from what?

Peace through strength. You don’t show strength by hiding.

Nope. We went to our Allies in Western Europe, and now we go to our Allies in Eastern Europe.

And our allies in the Middle East.

No, it isn't.
