Zelensky says war will 'end sooner' with Trump as president

Yea…let Putin get out with his skin intact
Rest up, rebuild, invade again in ten years
None of your business. Your two administrations proved to be utterly incompetent and conducted a failed policy. Stick your nose to your internal policies.

I don't have access to the same information Trump, Zelensky, Putin, and Trump's future cabinet does. It would be a silly exercise in futility and a waste of time and energy to sit here and play "what if" games and imaginary scenarios.

Donald Trump won the election, so let him handle it the way he does. That's what we're going to be paying him for. And being the hardest working man in politics, I trust he will handle it in ways nobody else thought of.
Trump will actually use diplomacy and talk with both leaders.

Senile Biden just preached from a bully pulpit and never engaged with Putin.
A complete failure of diplomatic policy that led to a stalemate.

It would be in the best interests of nations if they just went along with what Trump wants.

Now someone please tell the Democrats that too.
Zelensky will be negotiating from a position of weakness and probably Russia will only agree to a ceasefire. That will let them hold on to the areas of Ukraine they currently occupy, less some to be traded for the area of Russia Ukraine occupies. It will be like the two Koreas, forever at 'war' and never at peace.

In other words, it will be in the best interests of Russia and other nations if they just went along with what Trump wants, certainly not in Ukraine's interest.

Putin’s weakness is that he is suffering substantial casualties and does not have an answer to Ukraines modern weapon systems

It is in his interests to have Trump end the war and everyone goes home

True, but Putin's strength is that he is an autocrat in control of a docile country used to being lead by autocrats. He controls the information (news people tend to fall out of windows) so reality is malleable in Russia.

I just realized I broke rightwinger

He put me on ignore. I am awesome.

AntonToo Antoshka, do you remember as some months ago I told you that the mind of Ukrainians toward the war was steadily changing. And it was a trend. Gave you a link to that. You claimed that the majority still supported the war and the trend was just my fantasy. Remember? Here you go

Half of Ukrainians Want Quick, Negotiated End to War

I want the war to end as soon as possible, so what?

In polling it's important to design the questions to get at the issue and this poll does not get there.

The fundamental question is how much Ukranians would be willing to give up to halt the conflict "as soon as possible"?

How many of the 52% would be willing to capitulate Ukraine to end the war? Probably near zero.

How many would be willing to sign agreement with Russia that leaves Ukraine out of NATO (or some other security guarantee arrangement) and EU? Probably very few are dumb enough for that.

How many would be willing to give away Zaporozhye in it's administrative borders, which includes city itself that is under Ukranian control? Very few.

So what does the poll mean? Not much.

No worries, Antoshka, I didn't expect you to admit something, somewhat step back and view from a different angle. You definitely don't have the nerve.

Don't like the figures? Simple. Put some 'probably', a bit of wishful-thinking - and voilà. Denying reality doesn't change the reality. The Ukrainians want this war to be stopped, as soon as possible (even that fact you tried to deny in the past). And your wishful-thinking changes nothing.

The problem with all “peace” proposals is that Ukraine gives everything and Russia gives nothing.

Russia gains valuable territory
Ukraine is denied NATO membership
Russia pays no price for damages

What are you talking about? Have you no idea what has been happening there?

Whats missing from your post is millions of people who on paper WERE Ukrainian citizens in the main in Donbass didn't want anything to do with a Regime that was killing them and ovethrew the elected government, that's one of the main reasons for the war, but you can't admit it or your whole ridiculous argument falls apart like a cheap suit.

Yes.
