Correct, poor people did get coverage. And who are the poor? Those who don't want to work or work very little.

I think if you offered any poor person a job that pays a living wage, they'd take it.

SO here's a concept- Let's get rid of welfare and replace it with workfare. You show up with a resume, and they get you a job, somewhere. Then you manage your own budgets.

Big business wouldn't go for it, though. Then they'd have to attract employees instead of choosing them.

You don't know how FOS you are. Look.....I spend every day in industrial areas. They are all loaded with HELP WANTED signs. Some of them have been up for months and even years. A few of those place are our customers, and they're not offering too bad of wages for non-skillled work.

The problem today is our social programs. They pay so much that it's not worth the effort for some to get off the drugs and take these jobs. One of our drivers found another job and he's leaving after next week. My employer (once again) will have a hell of a time replacing him because as always, he won't be able to find anybody that can pass a drug test.

That's what's wrong in our country.

How do you make leftists? Give them something on transfer of wealth theories, then tell them the Republicans are going to take it away from them. It is a very diabolical, political, strategy.

How do you create Conservatives? Give them a job, then point at Democrats and show the people how they want to take more of their money to give to somebody else! It isn't rocket science.

Simple------------->use an exaggeration and pretend that Monday morning, everyone goes out and instantly finds a job making 75,000 dollars a year, and takes it. Who do you think gets MORE seats in congress changing to their side next November...........the party who wants to raise their taxes and allow unskilled workers into the country at will to possibly TAKE their jobs, or the Republicans, lolololol!

Now you know why Democrats fight so hard to consistently raise payouts for doing NOTHING! They have to keep a large % of the population on their modern "plantation," or they will be wiped out again like they were with Reagan!

I produce taxes via work, I produce a comfortable place to live for my tenants, I produce the transportation that hauls products that make it to your store so you have the items you wish to purchase, I don't take any government handouts--I give the government. I never had any children so I didn't get burdened with the expense.

Correct. I applied last year, and they told me they wanted over 25% of my net pay, plus the plan had a 7K out of pocket and a 7K deductible. No prescription, no dental, no eye care. And of course, a $50.00 copay for doctor visits.

Could you imagine if house insurance, rental insurance, car insurance wanted a quarter of your net pay to be insured? Plus it's insurance you couldn't possibly use? Nobody would buy it.

Not at all... I've been working since I was 16, and what finally got me to stop voting Republican at 46 was the realization that the GOP doesn't give a **** about the people who do the work. They care about the people who have the money.

you see, what you fuckheads don't realize is that the reason why we have a dependent class is that for people who aren't crazy racists like Ray, whose boss won't even spring for his health insurance despite him being a great producers, is that when you cheat the workers at every turn, they are going to have more loyalty to government than their employers.

It's what I call my Ray from Cleveland's raccoon theory.

You see a raccoon digging in a garbage can, so you go into the house and fetch that ham you were going to throw out at the end of the week. You give the ham to the raccoon and the animal eats in delight. Now give it about 20 seconds and try to take the ham back and see what happens.

While I actually agree the mandate is wrong and needs to go away, I feel the need to point out nothing has been removed, this is just a bill that passed the Senate. IT still has to be reconciled with the House bill and voted on again.

Do they plan to remove the business requirement to provide heath care if you have 50 or more employees?

Actually just the opposite. Several of our customers replaced their mostly white crew with blacks because blacks will work for less money. They don't get the quality of work they used to, but they make out in the long run. The only real problem with that is trying to use the rest room. Blacks often go there to take breaks because you can't fire people for sitting in the can half the day and they know it.

We just took the blue states tax deduction loophole away from them. They can no longer deduct state income tax off their federal return and property tax, mortgage interest deductions are capped. Now blue states will have to pay their fair share of federal income tax.

If anyone thinks by getting rid of the individual mandate without getting rid of the 10 essential health benefits that are mandated are going to lower premiums then I have some swamp land I'll sell you in Florida.

Who really cares if anyone purchases health insurance most of the ones that have it now want it and the die-hards have gone without and may have paid the penalty. Then you have the ones that wanted it but could not afford it, but yet have their cable, internet, smartphones, etc. The self-employed most likely could have gotten their modified adjusted gross income low enough to receive a subsidy but either they or their accountants were not smart enough to do so.

Premium increases will depend on how many only have carried it the past 4 years due to the mandate.
