We shall see what Pete Hegseth decides. He has upped fitness standards. I think he will also up food standards if he hasn't already done so.

I know they shouldn't put salt restrictions on soldiers. Kennedy is a Democrat at heart, so he 's got an inner moonbat that might do that.

America got a new diet plan today, 1/7/2026. Urges more proteins, whole milk, eggs and much more. The idea is the better we eat, the less doctors we need. I for instance have type 2 diabetes. Since I discovered this, being on Medicare, I have seen just one dietician when I was in Idaho. So far here in Oregon, no mention to me by doctors has come up. Today my breakfast was perfect. Sausage, scrambled eggs that I put half and half in, milk, whole, and fried asparagus. Last evening I had 3 pieces of cod cooked for me a local restaurant, French fries too, and cold slaw. It is a chore, but I plan work harder on the recommended diet. Who is planning to check out the new diet plans?

I just read, "eat real food" here. It's shocking to me how many American households basically assemble pre-cooked food and call it a good meal. Buy real meat, use real butter, real eggs, real milk. Make meals from scratch. It's not that difficult and makes a big difference!

I'm amazed/not amazed that you only mentioned animal as "food" and didn't mention what early Christian writers called "food"-- nuts, seeds, grain, vegetables, and fruit

Every morning I mix and have 1 tbsp of lemon juice, 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp raw honey and 1/8 TSP Cayenne pepper.

Every evening I mix and have a small glass of cranberry juice, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp chia seeds.

Been doing this for a week and lost 6lbs.
 
Then to top ot all off....our grains have roundup in them. Pesticides. Herbicides. american food supply is a chemical cocktail. Why we allow this im not sure. It is what it is as they say.
 
I said "high meat" trend. I know that Keto is about higher fat. But there IS a protein obsession, at least it appears that way from what I've seen on social media, etc.
It isn’t hard to figure out. Protein builds muscle and people want to be muscular. Thus a high protein diet is required

Early Christmas definitely ate animals….
 
They say that person needs about 100 grams of protein per day.
That is about a half a cup of meat.
Depends on body weight, lifestyle, etc. Usually half a gram per pound of body weight. For me that's about 70 grams, but I doubt if I consume that much, more like 50 grams, but I do just fine.

When you get older too much salt can be an issue. Lots of bad lifestyle habits are masked by 'the strength of youth' only to emerge full blown later in life.
