America got a new diet plan today, 1/7/2026. Urges more proteins, whole milk, eggs and much more. The idea is the better we eat, the less doctors we need. I for instance have type 2 diabetes. Since I discovered this, being on Medicare, I have seen just one dietician when I was in Idaho. So far here in Oregon, no mention to me by doctors has come up. Today my breakfast was perfect. Sausage, scrambled eggs that I put half and half in, milk, whole, and fried asparagus. Last evening I had 3 pieces of cod cooked for me a local restaurant, French fries too, and cold slaw. It is a chore, but I plan work harder on the recommended diet. Who is planning to check out the new diet plans?

I just scanned over this.

It looks a lot like how I would tell my clients to eat when I was a personal trainer and nutritionist.

I've been screaming it from the rooftops my whole life. Sometimes it almost seems like they were intercepting my social media posts on the subject of nutrition and now they're implementing them.

It doesn't go far enough, but it's a good start.

Why are you co suming sausage? Talk about a food to avoid. Fried food? Never not even as a treat. Fast food? Shut every fast food joint down.

Why Do We Allow Them To Use Them In america?

I am currently on a diet of eggs, meat, nuts, cheese, especially cottage cheese, and water. Also beer. But I went to light beer so kiss my ass 😜

I am sure this matters to at least seven people.

Oh gosh. IMO this whole "gotta get more protein!" obsession is a manufactured lie.

The reality (that has been shown in tons of studies) is that most Americans get ample protein, and in many cases, TOO much. But you know what Americans are genuinely deficient in? Fiber.

The link you posted is a government link. Why does that not surprise me, lol.

Personally, I think the high meat diet trend (like Keto, "carnivore", etc) happening in the last few years was started by the meat and dairy industries, who of course want more profit. And especially with competing diets out there (like WFPB), the meat and dairy industries have been fighting to stay on top, and they often put out industry-funded "studies" to convince people their products are healthy...and sadly a lot of people fall for it.

Keto isn't about more protein, it's about higher fat and no carbs, with moderate protein and veggies so your body burns off stored fat for energy instead of carb intake.

I said "high meat" trend. I know that Keto is about higher fat. But there IS a protein obsession, at least it appears that way from what I've seen on social media, etc.

French fries made with seed oil tastes nasty.
French fries made with beef tallow tastes like they should.
Most fast food places use seed oil.

Excess protein consumption causes liver and kidney damage.
Americans worship protein these days while still consuming too much junk food

They say that person needs about 100 grams of protein per day.
That is about a half a cup of meat.
