For me it's one (or more) of these depending on how long the trip is.

I started carrying them many years ago when hunting and with some water they are enough to get you by.

They have been around since 1975.

Costco sells them in 96 bar boxes.

Luckily, I don't travel alone a lot, or I would be a lot bigger, and probably have some serious cholesterol issues.

I just hate spending my money on sub-par fast food.

Same here, and I never do, however Southern Classic Fried Chicken is far from sub-par, and more like the pinnacle. :auiqs.jpg:
Plus, I don't have to smoke up the house and mess up my kitchen making it.

I like to check out the best Hot Dogs wherever I visit

I'm talking more of the burger chains.

If I'm gonna eat chicken out it would be at a sit-down place.

I get what you are saying, but Southern Classic is also where you can go through the drive thru, grab a nice sized box of fresh hot fried okra (if you are into southern foods), and eat the whole thing on the way to the woods. Not necessarily the healthiest option, but it will provide some fuel for stomping around in the great outdoors.

Traveling food, where I live may have a different meaning as well.

I used to eat those but they crumble too easily. Switched to Belvita and Kodiak
