Well, Sliwa won't win because he would crack down on all of the crime and democrat criminals.
Cuomo won't win because democrats are not totally insane.
So that leaves Mamdani for the mayor; as one New Yorker put it, unlike the two others, he actually looks like he wants the job.
Cuomo at least has some experience running a government which Mamdani does not. Either one is a dreadful choice, but certainly voting for Cuomo is less insane than voting for someone like Mamdani.

Sliwa is the only sane option but unfortunately there are too few sane people left in New York so a vote for him is a wasted vote. The ONLY one with a ghost of a chance to beat Mamdani is Cuomo.

If he had stopped wearing that stupid beret and satin jacket about 20 years ago, he might have had a chance.

I prefer Trailways. But that's just me.
Greyhound is the busiest bus line from NYC to Boston. Feng Wah used to be super cheap, but they were finally driven out of business in 2015. Who knows how many lives that has saved.

Well, lessee:
  1. They already had Cuomo. They got just what they expected, a rich a-hole who was a total crook.
  2. They know who Sliwa is. He is a republican who has tirelessly fought on the side of law and order for decades.
  3. Then there is Mamdani, a muslim who has fought to advance Islamic causes for years.
Looks like they gotta run with the Muslim this time, Cuomo is a big business crook and Sliwa, well, he's a republican. New Yorkers would rather kowtow to a muslim than see any GOP policy actually work.
Mamdani looked over at Great Britain (cities like London, for example) and then Mamdani looked out to Minnesota — and wondered if he could help spread Islam in that same way? Could he truly run for Mayor?

In some cities being a freaking socialist would be an impediment. But, hey. This is NYC we’re tawkin’ about.

So, he ran against a sitting mayor so failed that he couldn’t even secure a re-election bid. He ran against a former governor who had failed so hard he was forced to resign as governor in NY! And he ran against a Republican in a City that has a voter base of approximately 6 Democratics to every 1 Republican.

Mamdani either cleverly chose a great time to run OR the media and the Dem Party manipulated the public to make it seem like a great time to have a communist/Islamist serving as the Mayor of the center of Capitalism.

I am greatly saddened to make my prediction and I hope I prove to be wrong:

But my prediction is that Mamdani will be elected Mayor in NYC tomorrow.

What happens in NY doesnt affect the rest of the nation.
Sadly, you’re mistaken.

There would be al manner of dire consequences for the people around the county, many of the cities and for most of the states and for the entire nation if NYC were to fail as hard as Portland has.

People would move out in huge numbers. The decrease in demand for housing there would show true capitalist effects. Landlords would be offering massively smaller rents. So landlords would feel the impact quickly.

Jobs would likely end up being filled at a more competitive rate of pay, so that would induce some companies to move out of NYC. And with the loss of jobs, demand for public assistance would go up.

Yet, with a much smaller population, there’d be so many fewer to serve as taxpayers. To cover ongoing costs, obviously the cratering NYC Council would have to raise all manner of taxes while also cutting services. Fewer cops. Fewer firefighters. Fewer Sanitation crews. All serve as forms of impetus for residents to move out.

Trump or Vance would not be pleased, either. Because neither would be politically stupid enough to just say “drop dead” to NYC. SO, nationally, tax rates would have to go up to support NYC.

AND although that will strike many as mere dystopian fantasy, the real world impacts would be extremely intricate and often interwoven and I’m concerned that society itself (already quite divided) would get even more divided.

What happens in NYC tomorrow could effectively impact many parts of the nation and the world.

Why not? You think Cuomo is better?
I asked you why you want to vote for tbe radical moslem marxist.

Your reply shows you are 100% ignorant when it comes to who you will vote for.

democrats, vote for this moron, why not, he is as bad as everyone else the d3mocrats offer

Sliwa is crime.

Mandami. It's time for a change in this country, and it looks like it starts in New York

Who do you vote for? You are the deciding vote.
I wouldn't be dumb enough to live in NYC. It was in good shape after Rudy cleaned it up, and Bloomberg was a competent mayor, but after him it's been a disaster.

Curtis Sliwa is the best candidate but I doubt he will win, and even if he did, I doubt he could clean things up.

New York was not a good place when Giuliani was mayor. But then again, you are white....

Excellent analysis.
  1. Count Sliwa out. I mean, the guy has tirelessly fought street crime his entire life, much to his own risk and expense. So, that totally disqualifies him to ever be mayor.
  2. Count Cuomo out. He might have a chance with Sliwa dropping out and a Trump endorsement, but too little too late. Beside, reelecting that bum after his last time in office would be insane.
  3. So naturally, the logical choice is to elect a guy to run America's largest city who isn't even an American, does not hold American values, has never fought street crime, has never sacrificed anything at his expense, and has no experience holding office.
