I had to cancel my bank account last month because of scam alerts.
Had to go back to getting paper checks from work, which they screwed up.

I thought the scammers got ahold of my paycheck and cashed it somehow, because the check I was given at work ....nobody will cash it.
Living paycheck to paycheck, I started freeking out a bit. Needless to say.

I've been on edge for the past week, so I know I've been biting peoples heads off.
Sorry if you've been one of them.

Made MANY phone calls to try and talk to someone in corporate payroll last week, and kept getting routed to people in employee relations that don't speak English. Driving me even further down the crazy path.

FINALLY got ahold of an American in payroll today, I assume because I sent a nasty email threatening them with turning them into the government.
LOL

Anyway, got that finally settled, and got the check cashed.
Hope I don't have to go through this again, as I will have to be doing paper paychecks for at least a couple months, so's I can get dropped off the supposed scammers "radar".

Hopefully they didn't get anything noteworthy.......not that I have any money of any kind anyway.
But what I have I NEED.

Never thought I would need to worry about this, as I live from paycheck to paycheck and only have an account for direct depositing my check.
But I guess scammers are getting desperate, since A.I. is helping to crack down on scammers.

.

A couple of times. The bank I'm with now is pretty much right on the money. Last time, the cost was only about $130 and I didn't have to pay any of it.

I keep a separate account and use the debit card for online purchases with anyone I don't know well, and I keep a very limited amount of funds in it.

A hell of a try happened to me. Fortunately I was able to stop the scam but took some following actions.
1. Went to my bank and they stopped the sum from being paid. Cancelled my account and issued me a new account. Told SS to pay me at the new account. I thought Window 11 ensured I got no scams. I was issued a new credit card. Here is what I should have done when the scammer sent me a notice not to stop the system. I should have shut of the computer. I tried to restart the window system but the scammer kept blocking me. They tried to take $2,000 from my account but the phone call to my bank stopped that from happening. Be very careful of what site you click on. Do not obey the scammers messages. I also purchased the program called Total AV that solved all of it,
