Going back to what was taught in school a few genererations ago about what defines democracy compared to what existed elsewhere, it is a surprising turn of events that everything that was demonized as undemocratic then is here now in spades. Of course the people who taught us about democracy were survivors of the Great Depression and a world war. Then we got the Great Society and all those people were supplanted with new minds with new ideas. Funny, those new ideas look a lot like the old ideas of the undemocratic societies that composed the badlands of what was descibed as the Domino Theory-central planning, government surveillance, and propaganda disguised as objective news.

What happened in the last presidential election may have been the final warning for democracy here. The people are blinded to it and that appears to be planned. The assassination attempt on a former president presented as a government-issue threat to democracy signals a turning point that may not be able to be undone.

These people who comprise out elite leadership took a look at the power held by totalitarian nations and decided they wanted that here. So our democracy is now a wolf in sheep's clothing. Im still voting for Trump but millions of imported votes by non citizens is a clever tilt that will be hard to overcome. I just say what I see. Why you can't see it I cannot explain.

It has been happening since the mid 60's with the 'flower children' phenomenon and those who sympathized with their point of view. It became the first generation to reject the values of their parents with a strong counter culture infused with drugs, sex, environmentalism, communal living and a mostly passive protest of all they thought wrong with the society they were born into. It was evident in their art, music, rhetoric, lifestyle. It was the beginning of the Marxist movement to transform America into something it never was and was never intended to be.

Many were seduced into accepting their point of view as the American 'left' was developed and nurtured.

As they matured most of that group either became outspoken fanatics and/or gave up that kind of lifestyle but they retained a lot of the concept. They tended to go into occupations that controlled the message: education, media, government, entertainment, scientific institutions, big business, religion and there they mentored and brought in others who thought as they did. And as the new left gained majorities in those professions, the ordinary Americans who were basically conservative/libertarian in their views were made increasingly uncomfortable and unwelcome so that they left.

And now we have all those professions mostly controlled by people who promote strong Marxist ideology whether they do it consciously or as useful idiots to those who intend to control everything in America. And they do that by controlling speech, the message people are allowed to receive, attacking all basic commonly shared American values of common sense and decency and infusing us with things like wokeism, CRT, DEI, rewriting history, destroying monuments and other symbols of a culture they intend to erase.

Once they accomplish that, they can install their totalitarian government that is their ultimate goal and dictate to the people what they are allowed to believe, how they are allowed to live, what they are allowed to possess, etc. And the America as it was intended to be will be no more.

If you are old enough you were taught to respect the United States and the Constitution and Old Glory by the "Greatest Generation" who fought in WW2 and returned to become teachers. Most of my H.S. teachers were WW2 Vets but I didn't appreciate it at the time. Along came Viet Nam and the Great Society and college kids fled to Canada to avoid the draft and were pardoned by the Peanut Man and came back as teachers with a different and sometimes opposite philosophy about the American dream. I see the same thing. I recall when it was Biden vs Trump how the reports of the election showed Trump winning by a lot. Suddenly after it got dark into the night, particular areas of the US suddenly leaped into super production for Biden. It made no sense at all then nor today. We saw election fraud yet could not solve it. Biden is importing millions of voters. And he knows just how it works.
