I would agree. The conservatives of those days wanted to stay loyal to the British.
Well, let me hear you say: Thank God for the LEFT! WIthout them America as we know and knew it would NOT have been.
lol, you are so proud of towns burning, rioters tearing up people private property and business, we've had to deal with your Occupies taking over our parks and blocking sidewalks, and you sit here and crow how we should Thank God for left?
man that is some bubble you live in.
THE PEOPLE just VOTED out you lib/dems from having control of Congress under a liberal/progressive PRESIDENT in just SIX YEARS of his reign of terror. and you sit here and crow we need to thank god for liberals...you're a funny cult member. sad really
I'm discussingt our origins, and how they relate today
I didn't mean to offend you, Steph, in any sort of way
The BT party was done by the left
so don't leave that factoid on a shelf
for the liberal left say: HOORAY!
lol, our origins was a MIXTURE of both liberal and conservative. but more conservative and still is. but you can keep trying to change history to suit your fantasies. So when do you all thank A Conservative? this is from 2009 but after seeing the people kick out Obama and his party from Congress I'd say it speaks for the present.
dang it that's gotta hurt

"Conservatives" Are Single-Largest Ideological Group
Percentage of "liberals" higher this decade than in early '90s
by Lydia Saad
PRINCETON, NJ -- Thus far in 2009, 40% of Americans interviewed in national Gallup Poll surveys describe their political views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. This represents a slight increase for conservatism in the U.S. since 2008, returning it to a level last seen in 2004. The 21% calling themselves liberal is in line with findings throughout this decade, but is up from the 1990s.
