Texas Governor Greg Abbott today designated the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations.
"influence" is too broad and vague a term.
Plus USA has investment and trade interests with most other nations on the planet, and that involves mutual influence.
USA history of the past century and a half (+)has found us all over the world, doing some meddling ourselves, so quid-pro-quo.
And twice we had to end World Wars started by others, many whom we could have influenced in different direction had we not been near-sighted to "America First".
We are all downwind and downstream to each other as we are upwind and upstream.
At the same time Reagan was funding the "freedom fighters" against Russia in Afghanistan.
Try 1400 year old Jihad against all that isn't Muslim/Islam.

Islam / Muslims are not compatible with Western Society. In fact, they have stated specifically that they have set out to destroy it.
America First. If other nations want to deal with us then they can deal on our terms. In the meantime, our politicians should be influenced by their constituents, plus nobody. They were and are elected to represent us, The People. Not Saudi Arabia or Pakistan or Israel or India or anyone else. They're in Congress to figure out ways to clean up OUR backyard. Not to play nanny to the problems of the rest of the world. It's not their job or the job of the President to abscond with Americans' taxes and give it to other nations. That's called Global Socialism which is not Constitutional. America First.
