When you go, take this with you:All of this wording but reality is quite simple and I have already clearly stated it but you have refused to see it.
It is our choice to interpret God's message. God't message is interpreted by man (priests) but they are men (just like all of us).
The exact words from Jesus, regarding loving our neighbors are these ""You shall love your neighbor as yourself". The exact words from Jesus regarding forgiving are these "" "If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you" and the exact words from Jesus are " "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". At no time in any of these phrases is Jesus telling us that we are sinning by hating.
How you can sit here and tell me that I am doing wrong by not following Jesus words to a tee, is beyond my ability to comprehend. First of all, I used to hate myself when I was young. Was I sinning? I have forgiven many many people for their transgressions, suggesting that God will forgive me. Are you saying that those times I have forgiven others means nothing because I will not forgive Trump? I pray for the for those that persecute me (proof is that I have not wished anyone anything bad here on this board, though 3 posters here have wished my death. I have at no time wished anything bad for Trump even though I hate him. What I have wished for is for him not to be in power so he can hurt others,.
As such, NOTHING of what I have done goes against God's teachings. As such, I feel I have been faithful to what God wants and expects of us. God does not punish Hate. He punishes those that act on that hate and do things that will cause others harm.
Anyhow, I am finished with this discussion with you.
1 John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.
