XMAS 2024

All of this wording but reality is quite simple and I have already clearly stated it but you have refused to see it.

It is our choice to interpret God's message. God't message is interpreted by man (priests) but they are men (just like all of us).

The exact words from Jesus, regarding loving our neighbors are these ""You shall love your neighbor as yourself". The exact words from Jesus regarding forgiving are these "" "If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you" and the exact words from Jesus are " "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". At no time in any of these phrases is Jesus telling us that we are sinning by hating.

How you can sit here and tell me that I am doing wrong by not following Jesus words to a tee, is beyond my ability to comprehend. First of all, I used to hate myself when I was young. Was I sinning? I have forgiven many many people for their transgressions, suggesting that God will forgive me. Are you saying that those times I have forgiven others means nothing because I will not forgive Trump? I pray for the for those that persecute me (proof is that I have not wished anyone anything bad here on this board, though 3 posters here have wished my death. I have at no time wished anything bad for Trump even though I hate him. What I have wished for is for him not to be in power so he can hurt others,.

As such, NOTHING of what I have done goes against God's teachings. As such, I feel I have been faithful to what God wants and expects of us. God does not punish Hate. He punishes those that act on that hate and do things that will cause others harm.

Anyhow, I am finished with this discussion with you.
When you go, take this with you:

1 John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.

One last thing to this story.

Hate is an emotion and rational thinking cannot prevent emotion from being inside of you.

I will say it again (and again and again as needed). Trump is a hateful person. He is selfish, uncaring of others, has no moral compass, his ethics are all about me, me, me, he no principles as he has waffled his entire life according to what benefits him and he has no humanity as he does not have any guidelines that will stop him when someone has wronged him, or any guidelines when doing something for himself but causing others pain.

That has never changed and will NEVER change. No amount of rationality can erase the emotions that he causes.

What is worse, is that he has caused those same things to surface in others to the point where immorality, unethical behavior, unprincipled actions and inhumanity is becoming the norm and applaudable.

He (in and of himself) is hateful but what he has caused to happen to this nation, increases the hate feelings to go to the extreme. He is no longer the exemption but has become the rule. This means that on my way to the store, my wife's way to the mall, and my grandchildens way to school, there is now a higher probabily of encountering someone ordinary that has hate against me/them, or even me/them losing their lives.

That is unforgivable and I have to believe that even God, would hate to see that occur.
So you're establishing a moral benchmark now Lucky?

One last thing to this story.

Agree.

I'm sure He would, and I'm also sure He wouldn't want you hating people for it. Does the Bible not say you are to love your enemies?
No it does not.

By the way, I do not feel that hating someone is looked down upon by God as it is an emotion that rationalization cannot change. What God is telling us is not to "act" on that hate and do harm to the other person.

I wish no harm to Trump. What I wish is that he wasn't in power where he can do damage to others.

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

- Luke 6

What is it with you that you have to interpret winning and losing as the key issue?

No, winning or losing is never the key issue. The key issue is learning and more often than not, learning is done through pain that causes us to think about what caused the pain and trying to stop it from happening again.

Trump won. It is clear and does not have to be mentioned ad nauseum given that it is a publicly known fact. Do the Democrats have to change their approach/tactics/platform in the future, "yes" they do. Will the Trumpers now see if what Trump has promised to do will not only occur but will occur without worse consequences occurring at the same time? "yes" they will.

Life is always about lessons and learning and with this win, both sides will be accomplishing that goal.

Had Trump lost, none of these lessons will have been learned. This means that this Trump win and Democrat loss has some good things attached to it. Having said that, in my personal evaluation of what the Trump win means, I see very negative and long-lasting pain that will occur.

Having said that, we will see if my evaluation is correct. For now though, looking back at what happened will no longer bring any benefit other than gloating and gloating is for the pigs that have nothing to learn................they are pigs and will continue to be pigs until they go to slaughter to feed us all.

Oink, oink!
Aww, you mad bro?

Have you thought of becoming a priest?

By the way, I am a believer but I am not into religion. Religion is something humans decided to get into and I am not one to follow what others tell me to do or what I should do.

This is why I believe that I am the only one that is responsible (and will be judged on when I die) for what I believe.

I am not here to do what the priests tell me and much less what you tell me to do (based on what you are quoting here).

You certainly are not understanding what I am saying. There is absolutely nothing you can say or show that will prove me wrong (or what I can say that will prove me right). Beliefs are not part of data, statistics and facts. They are beliefs and no human judge can say you are right or wrong. The only one that can judge me is God............when I die.

If you want to keep wasting your time, that is your choice, but I am finished with this conversation.

Have you thought of becoming a priest?

Good gosh no, I'm far from being good enough to be a pastor, hell, I'm on the fence about by beliefs as it is.

By the way, I am a believer but I am not into religion. Religion is something humans decided to get into and I am not one to follow what others tell me to do or what I should do.

Religion is just your.adhereance to a particular faith. I agree though, look to people for guidance, but look to the Bible and prayer for understanding.

This is why I believe that I am the only one that is responsible (and will be judged on when I die) for what I believe.

Yes, your salvation is based your actions alone.

I am not here to do what the priests tell me and much less what you tell me to do (based on what you are quoting here).

I wouldn't expect you to, I was just correcting your statement that the Bible doesn't say to love your enemies. You do what you want with that, I'm not even suggesting you listen to it. I'm just making my point.

If you want to keep wasting your time, that is your choice, but I am finished with this conversation.

That's fine, lol, I never asked you to stay. You made a statement that I disagreed with and I gave you my assessment of why you are wrong. It's just my opinion.

I do not waste my time talking to anyone (male or female) that does not debate the issue of the OP and debase and insult the messenger repeatedly. Additionally, it is a waste of time and I do not have much of that left in my life.
How much do you have?
