Wrong Again: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions

Well, one of the reasons people are leaving Guatemala and trying to come here is because climate change is causing droughts and famine in that country.

^^^ this brainwashed moron thinks there were no droughts prior to 1900. :cuckoo:

Not to the extent that they are currently at.

OMG where is your f'ing evidence of that?? ^^^ this is what passes for science in this age of climate fear mongering holy shit.

Post 15 has the link. I noticed you cut it out of my post when you quoted me.

Talk to the hand climate change drone you outed yourself. :eusa_hand:

God people just give it up
Why don’t you post some articles from conservatives where they claim cigarettes don’t cause cancer, where they claim there is no climate change and they claim man is incapable of impacting the climate

No deflection son. It's a hoax.

I believe the proper response on this forum is for you to post those articles you mentioned.

Well, one of the reasons people are leaving Guatemala and trying to come here is because climate change is causing droughts and famine in that country.

'People are dying': how the climate crisis has sparked an exodus to the US

After several years of drought, the downpour brought some hope of relief to the subsistence farmers in this part of eastern Guatemala.

But as Esteban Gutiérrez, 30, takes a break from his work, he explains why he is still willing to incur crippling debts – and risk his life – to migrate to the United States.

“My children have gone to bed hungry for the past three years. Our crops failed and the coffee farms have cut wages to $4 a day,” he says, playing nervously with the white maize kernels in a plastic trough strapped to his waist.

“We hope the harvest will be good, but until then we have only one quintal [46kg] of maize left – which is barely enough for a month. I have to find a way to travel north, or else my children will suffer even more.”

That's pure BS. Guatemalan farmlands which were traditionally used for growing food crops are being converted to grow sugar for biofuels and export.

Guatemala is also suffering from decades of deteriorated social, ecological and economic systems, including poor farming techniques such as the lack of fertilizer and irrigation

In addition to that, the Guatemalan government has had a program of reducing the size of family farms and increasing the number of owners of them, so those small farmers are growing less and less for retail sales, and only for their own subsistence

But blame it on "global warming." That seems to be the catch-all excuse when things go wrong in the world.

None of Al Gores predictions have come true but he has become a billionaire from spewing them to sycophant fans....

Meanwhile he drives gas guzzling cars, spews jet exhaust from his private planes and uses more electricity than 200 families
in his home town.

Is that the object of the thread? You can play the "what if" game, I don't play it. NONE of Al's or anyone else'as "predictions" have come true, sorry.

Those that bleat on and on about the end of days have never been accurate. That does not mean that AGW is fabrication or that there will be real consequences from it.

The caveat here is the anthropogenic causation. Climate change has ALWAYS been around we aren't causing it.

E-cigarette giant Juul’s campaign donations favor Democrats
That’s it?

$100k among hundreds of Democratic members of Congress?

What a feeble lying and stupid deflection since the title of the thread is:

Wrong Again: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions

Thank you for admitting by omission that you have ZERO counterpoints to Post one content.

The article remains unchallenged to this day.

The guy who wrote that first dire prediction was a biologist who studied butterflies. I don't know if he hawked the system for that sweet grant money, but his book didn't take off until he was on Johnny Carson. Damn libs.

He was wrong many many times, yet it is ONLY leftists gooks like YOU who get a hard on every time he makes another dead on arrival low IQ prediction.

He was lauded for his numerous prediction failures because he is a slime gook getting money and not deserved awards from brain damaged leftist gooks who hate science.
