before you cast judgment. Actually I believe the odds are at least some of them probably are all that other than necessary and essential. Necessary and essential workers who are actually doing their jobs well have nothing to fear from DOGE.

When the taxpayers write that check to pay their taxes or have taxes taken out of their paycheck, they have every right to expect their government to understand how hard they had to work for that money and to spend it carefully, wisely, efficiently and effectively for the common benefit. There should be something good for Americans and America to show for every penny spent.

They should not be required to provide a living for non essential, unnecessary government employees. For sure losing a good paying job is not pleasant for anybody but if we are going to have a government that is efficient, effective, competent for the American people, we cannot continue to waste their/our money.

In 2023, the average taxpayer paid $19,113 in Federal taxes. A $10 million Federal expenditure took 523 taxpayers to fund. Or, it took 13 taxpayers working 40 years to pay for it.
